Red Son wasn't sure what he expected when he brought up the notion of "courting" to his parents. He nervously fingered the collar of his scratchy turtle neck, swallowing hard in an attempt to hide his discomfort. He could feel his parents' eyes on him as he stretched out the thick fabric and cleared his throat.

"F-Father?" His voice was shaky and he forced a smile as he asked his question. Bull King's nostrils flared and he released a steady stream of steamy breath, never taking his eyes off the ground even though it was his son asking the question. He didn't give a verbal response, but he was listening all the same.

"Uh-" Red Son offered a smile, twirling his fork nervously. "I had an inquiry for you." Bull King's eyebrows were drawn together, his thick arms crossed tightly across his chest. He paused for what felt like an eternity before releasing a pent-up breath and looking up from his food. His son remained patient, eyes firmly on his father as he waited for a response, a small hopeful smile playing on his lips.

"Ask your question, Son," the King affirmed.

Red Son's hands felt sweaty, "As our family is beginning to head in other directions of realm domination and still recovering from the dreaded Witch's attack, I was curious of what my- my own roles might be going forward?"

The King ran his gaze slowly across the face of his son, and the room seemed to fill with tension. His eyes narrowed in confusion as he attempted to decipher the silent plea coming from the young boy's expression, "Is your current role not efficient enough?"

Princess Iron Fan picked up a piece of chicken, hardly touching it as she focused on the paper in her hands. Her gaze drifted around the room, only half paying attention to the conversation as she absentmindedly read through the pages, "If you want more tasks, we can always supply you with some," she says.

"Oh well, more than tasks I was just- I'm the heir to the Demon Bull family," Red Son touched his chest proudly, "Many other families have been pushing their children to find their own domains or start their own armies... o-or courting their future partners?" his tone became softer and more timid, betraying his unease.

The Demon Bull King's grip on the glass tightened so hard, it shattered in his hands. Red Son felt the shock reverberate through his body as he watched splinters of glass fall from his Father's fingers and onto the floor. He felt an intense wave of anger radiating off The Demon Bull King, whose eyes were a mixture of shock and anger, "What did you say?" he growled, his eyes narrowing dangerously.

Red Son swallowed hard, realizing too late that he may have made a mistake. "I-I was just inquiring about my role in the family and-"

"Courting? You want to court someone?" Bull King's voice rose in volume as he stood from the table, his fists clenched at his sides.

Red Son was shrinking into his seat, "W-Well I didn't say that exactly? I just wanted to know if that was something you both had in mind and-" he laughed nervously. He hadn't expected his Father to be so enraged?? Did his Father already know? Was his Father aware of MK and against it?! "Father, I assure you I-"

"You cannot marry until you are 1000 years old!" Bull King's face was bright red, veins bulging in his neck. His booming voice echoed off the stone walls around him.

Red Son looked up, eyes wide with shock, at the declaration of Bull King. "...Huh?" the tension suddenly left, leaving the Prince stunned.

His Mother heaved a heavy sigh and rolled her eyes, as her husband paced the room, his brow furrowed in worry. He was always so protective of their son, even though his actions often seemed more controlling than caring, "Dear," she attempts to draw her husband down from his tangent.
