"You're hungover, aren't you?" The blunt question from Suguru made Satoru's loud yawn cut short and turn into a slight chuckle as a response.

"Hey, I would invite you out, but I know you have to be in bed by 9:30 p.m. these days. Since you're mated and all. Has Yu started nesting yet?" A deflective jest that was a little too close to home, even if he meant nothing by it. Suguru did wake him up early and had to show some type of protest in return. A habit that the two still had since their teens, always teasing one another until the other grew annoyed. Though Satoru seemed to be the one who always started it.

"Very funny. I'll just tell Yu to stop making any extra sweets just for you, "Suguru playfully shot back though there was a lace of familiar venom on his threat. He was truly petty enough to do this with Gojo over his mate. Being locked out of his best friend's apartment was one thing and it's not like he had a spare key anyway. But being cut off from homemade sweets was another.

"Hey, now let's not be hasty here. You leave Yu's dangos sweets or pankeiki out of this," Satoru quipped.

Suguru smirked in triumph hearing the faint pout in his voice knowing just how feral his friend could get over sweets and more so over homemade sweets made just for him. He dropped the conversation for now knowing that he had Satoru's full attention.

"I woke you up because I wanted to ask you when the last time you saw Kento?"

Satoru grew quiet while he scratched the back of his head in an attempt to feign, he was thinking about his answer. "Right before I left for that long job that I had to fly out to get to. Been trying to catch him since then. Why? Does he miss me?" he joked. In reality, Satoru counted the days to get back to see Nanami, he did miss him terribly. He hated that he couldn't catch up with him fully besides the occasional text message. Looking for objects that claimed to be cursed or beings that claimed to be possessed or cursed left him traveling a lot.

Suguru wanted to snort, the way Kento clung to Yu while he cried along with the sadness that whirled around his living room the other night was an understatement to that remark.

A month had passed since they had seen one another, and this was only because the job that Jujutsu Corp sent him on made him travel out of the country. He still remembered the subtle change in the scent that was coming off of Nanami. A calming sweet scent that reminded him of vanilla compared to his airy-like floral prior. He loved his scent but this one made him want to bury his face in his neck at any chance he could get. His teeth ached to claim him, leaving deep red markings with his lips on his scent gland was his own attempt to prevent himself from doing so. But the way his mouth watered alone for Nanami; it was becoming difficult to steel himself. As much he missed Kento perhaps time apart saved him from mishaps of biting him without them talking about that fully.

"Notice anything different?" Geto patiently questioned.

His first thought was that maybe it was Nanami making himself more appealing in hopes they would properly mate and bond. The pheromones of an Omega can gradually change for several reasons such as pregnancy, mating appeal, and persuasion.

"His scent, yes."

That was one of the few things he noticed besides Nanami being exhausted to the point he would fall asleep on the couch frequently. With the times they would be with one another, he believed that Nanami's scent was telling him he wanted him to be his true mate. And it's not that the idea hadn't crossed his mind. He believed their arrangement with one another was enjoyed the way it was. At least this is what he assumed for so long.

"Satoru, you two have been together on and off constantly as it is. You really should talk about that. This has now caused something that he alone is dealing with." Suguru glanced back inside his home, catching Yu with his cup and coffee and Nanami sitting at the table sharing breakfast together.
