Present Day
Location: Starbucks Coffee Shop, Los Angeles, CA"How could you let them escape?!" Timi screamed, almost slamming his hand on the table when a small glow of light stopped his hand.
Kikx was shaking her head at him. "Deal with your anger issues, kid."
Timi's face turned red. "I'm not a kid!"
Hal was nodding while sipping a frappuccino. "Mhmm- Mhmm, m-"
"Stop drinking that and talk normally!" Timi snapped.
Hal put the drink down hesitantly. "But- but it's really good-"
"I don't care! We lost them, and chances are they've recruited the other with powers and-" Timi was so angry, it looked like he could ram into a wall and smash it. Which he probably would have done if Kikx hadn't put a little light chain around his legs and around the chair he was sitting on.
Greyall put his hand on Timi's shoulder. "Relax, we'll find them eventually. They can't keep hiding forever."
Hal was lost in thought. Slowly, he spoke. "When we saw the regulars, they weren't alone. There were two others with them."
The realization hit them like a hard slap in the face. It was so obvious that they were in disbelief at how stupid they were for not realizing it before. They were in so much shock- not a sound on the table except the sound of Hal sipping his frap.
"So..." said Greyall, words scarcely forming. "We're late."
His sister scoffed. "Late? More like screwed!"
Timi was so angry that he was about to overturn the table they were sitting on when Greyall put his hand over Timi's. It didn't feel like a hand- Greyall had used his power to make his hand feel like a sticky goo. Disgusted, Timi, refrained from displaying his frustration of not realizing the implication of that sooner.
"How will we find them again?" Hal asked. "It took us so long to find them-"
"We will," said Timi firmly. "Even if it takes us to the ends of this world, we will find them."
Present Day
Location: Entrance to Regulars Secret Base"I'm still so confused," said Zud.
"Why?"sigils asked as they walked to the secret base.
"How are we meant to just y'know, find out what powers we have?" asked Zud.
The Regulars fell silent for a minute. Biffle spoke slowly. "I mean, back at home, we would know what powers we had via our relatives, or in a big emergency- and it kind of just happens- there's no one way to learn about your powers but- well-"
"You'll figure them out, I know you will," Henwy said, encouraging them.
After a bit more walking, the six of them reached a stone wall. Henwy touched it, and it disappeared.
"Woah," Jerome gushed.
Behind the stone wall, was another wall
"Safety precaution," said Sigils before walking straight through the fire. After a few seconds, the fiery wall vanished.
The non-regulars looked on in amazement. "Fire doesn't hurt you?" Zud wondered.
Sigils nodded. "Come in." As they walked inside Henwy recreated the illusion wall and Sigils remade the fire wall, so nobody followed them.
"I wish I had cool powers like that," Jerome sighed.
"You probably will," said Biffle.
As they walked further into the base, a little puppy came bounding towards them and ran towards Nico. Nico smiled.
"My power-" Nico said, picking up the puppy in his arms. "-is that I can kind of talk to animals and call them to me when I need it."
"Aww, she's so cute," Jerome petted the pup. "What's her name?"
"Josie," he replied. "After my cousin who's still in Lirhan, Jocelyn. Jocelyn's a dog hybrid."
Zud was surprised. "Different species in one family?"
"It's complicated," Henwy added.
"Can we see the inside of your base?" Jerome asked, excited to see where they would discover his new powers.
"Yeah! Come on in!" Biffle led Jerome inside the base, down a few staircases and into an open hallway which felt like an upgrade of the basement of their house. There are a few decorations around with tables, chairs, and bean bags. To the side, there was a door.
"Bean bags!" Jerome gasped before collapsing in one of them. "Nice secret base!"
"As good as the Camp Minecraft one?" Biffle joked.
The Regulars laughed, but Zud didn't get the reference. "Did you have a secret base in Camp Minecraft?"
"Oh sorry," said Nico. "We had a superhero war in Camp Minecraft season 2- I wasn't involved much, don't worry. It was just fun and games."
"Okay." Zud looked around. "What's behind that door?"
Sigils looked towards where Zud was gazing and gestured for Zud to follow him.
Inside the room was a small futuristic looking space pod with tinted glass.
"This is our ship." Henwy had apparently followed them into the room. "We can take it to get back to Lirhan."
Zud's eyes widened in surprise. "Wow, it looks so cool!"
Nico grinned. "This is just the outside view, wait until you see the inside."
Jerome stepped out to touch it but Sigils stopped him. "Don't touch it," said Sigils. "It's made of special material that can break down flesh. Safety measure- unless you deactivate it using the remote key."
Jerome's eyes widened in surprise. "Woah."
Biffle grabbed Jerome's hand. "C'mon! The ship's the least exciting part about our base, there still the power rooms, the storage room-"
"Woaaaaaaaaaaah!" Jerome got dragged away by Biffle back into the main base.
Zud turned towards the other three Regulars. "So...how are me and Jerome gonna find out what powers we have?"
"I don't know yet," Sigils admitted.
"It usually gets triggered in a life-or-death situation," Nico added.
"But how are we gonna get that to happen?" Zud asked.
There was silence in the room for a minute.
"Don't worry, we'll find a way," Henwy said. "C'mon, let's find Biffle and Jerome."
