chapter two: sunlight in her steps, the girl who stole his heart.

it was a chance encounter, really. sunghoon had been lost in thought, staring up at the sky as usual, when he heard a soft voice behind him. he turned to see a girl walking towards him, a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye.

kim haeun.

at first, sunghoon wasn't sure what to make of her. she was so different from him — bubbly, effervescent, with a personality that seemed to radiate light. he couldn't quite understand how anyone could be so full of life, so unapologetically joyful. but as he began to talk to her, he found himself drawn in by her energy, her sense of adventure, and her willingness to embrace life with both arms.

he tried to suppress his feelings, knowing that falling for her could be risky. but the more they spent time together, the stronger his attraction grew.

but can you blame park sunghoon for feeling this way? the way haeun made him feel was beyond words — she was like a ray of sunshine in his life, illuminating even the darkest corners of his soul.

together, they laughed, explored, and dreamed up wild adventures that they knew they would never be able to take. yet, even as they talked about their wildest dreams, sunghoon knew he had to tell her his.

it wasn't until one fateful day, that sunghoon finally mustered the courage to tell haeun the truth. he told her about his fascination with icarus and the sun, expressing his longing to feel the exhilaration of flight that consumed icarus. he had always clung onto that dream. and to his surprise, haeun didn't laugh or dismiss it as a childish fantasy. instead, she smiled and took his hand, telling him that if anyone could fly to the sky, it was him.
