"Get a grip on yourself Aahana. You are not expected to behave in such a way." She muttered this to herself while remembering the encounter a few moments ago.

Flashback

She was in his arms hiding her face while he looked down upon her. He slowly released her from his hold and put her down. She raised her glistening eyes and looked straight into his eyes.

His arms held her from her waist and he turned her to face the mirror. She could see them together and pictured it as the most beautiful thing she has ever laid her eyes upon.

He slowly unpinned her veil and hair leaving in her beautiful opened hair which sprawled across her back.

Sliding his hands down from her shoulders he slowly and carefully removed the big bangles from her wrist.

Running his fingers across her neck and brushing them he slided her hairs on her one shoulder and slowly removed the ornaments leaving the mangalsutra which he tied around some hours ago and was a sign that they are bound to eternity.

And all this happened while she has her eyes closed and and his fixed on the mirror experiencing the feeling which he had dreamt of.

He bent down on his knees and when she realised this she suddenly opened her eyes just to see something which blew her mind off.
Her husband was on his knees with his mouth around her waist on the waistchain unclipping it.

When she could no longer hold it she held his hairs and tugged at them.

He stood up and faced her. Holding her waist from one hand he brushed the baby hairs on her face aside and said in a voice which would bring any woman down on her knees "Get changed." And saying this he left the room.

Present

Aahana could not understand why she was feeling such things. Again and again the same scenes were being repeated in her head.

The way her husband had held her and helped her to take off the jewellery. Oh how good this word ' husband ' felt when spoken. Probably she was unaware of the fact the she wass falling for him hard.

She got dressed as a new bride. The sindoor and mangalsutra being displayed proudly. She went out to the hall when suddenly hearing the soft sounds of her anklets the noises stopped.

Her mother in law came forward and took her to the place where the muh dikhai rasam was going to be held. She noticed not one male member of the family was present there but some unknown faces gossiping among each other definitely were.

A veil was already put on her head when one by one all the women started coming and lifting the veil and giving her gifts.
The Rathores were a big name and the circle they had was also of the same sort.

She saw the gifts were highly expensive and made a note to return it to her mother in law.

Due to so much attention her social anxiety got kicked in and she was feeling very nervous and anxious due to it. She wanted everything to get over soon and was fearing about the judging  comments that she would get to hear on her face from the ladies.

Of course she was a person who had a IDGAF personality but here she had an imaginary boundation which refrained her from answering them back.

But none of this happened. Instead she got to hear many affirmative ones such as -
"Bahu to bahut Sundar h"

"Sundar ke saath saath kaabil bhi h."
and she could not refrain the smile that appeared in her face.

After these things got over her maa and Chachi went to see off the ladies. She looked around when one of Aadhrit's cousin came forward and helped her to carry the gifts in her room.

She went inside her room and punched the password. Of course she was very observant and had remembered when Aadhrit had previously entered it.

Going inside she kept the gifts in the couch and the girl had also helped her to do so. She thanked her and locked the door and went on the bed and sat down and started thinking.

How her life had changed now. She was now someone's wife and daughter in law. She had now a new family to take care of and live with. She was no longer a bachelor who lived and spoke so carefree.

Her words now have to be precise and she can't utter anything that would not be decent. She was having such thoughts when a door from the side wall magically opened and Aadhrit came out of it.

He noticed her sitting on his bed and his heart calmed down as if he had secured something. But without giving any heed to her he started to move out only to hear a soft sound.

"Suniye."

He could not believe his ears. His wife was calling him and he was now dancing from inside. But without bringing the Bhangra emotions on his face he turned around.

"Hmm bolo."

" Wo baat ye hai ki abhi mujhe kuch gifts mile hai aur wo kaafi expensive h to mai ye nahi le sakti. Isiliye ya to AAP inhe rakh dijiye ya phir ma ko de dijiye. "

Even though she spoke softly her voice had a firmness in them. He was so fucking proud of her. She was the definition of the SELF-DEPENDENT WOMAN and was perfect to carry it.

"Hmm theek hai. Mai unhe rakh deta hoon." and went out.

When she called him AAP, she remembered the conversation between her mother, Shanaya and her.

Flashback

" Lekin mai kyon AAP bolun. Shaadi ho rhi h to we are equals na. Mai to tum hi bolungi."

"Ae pagal ladki tu unko tum bolegi to kaisa lagega. Soch 'Aadhrit tum idhar aao.' " Said Shanaya

"To isme galat kya h haa. Tu bhi to Aarav ko tum bolti h."

"Aahana beta samjho na aise accha nahi lagega." Said her mom

"To phir Mai kya bolungi 'Suniye Aap yahan aaiye' " she said mimicking just like the Indian daily soap women.

"Ha bilkul."

"Nope. Not happening."

"Accha tu ye soch na ki wo Raja h. Aisa accha nhi lagega. Yahi soch ke dhang se bol liyo."

"Uff ...Fine...... "
