"So you mean to say we grab random passersby and throw the blame on them?" I asked for the fifth time and Karishma nodded her head and let out a sigh, she was constantly checking her watch.
"Karishma, you haven't cleared my doubts" I inform her and stared at the grave of our senior, Callan.
"Hasz, I promise I will answer your questions, now follow me out" She glared at me and proceeded ahead towards the gate. With the shovel in her left hand and the gloves in right one.
"Where are we going, though?" I asked her but either way, she didn't hear me or ignored me.
"Do you think someone will be strolling in a graveyard in the middle of the night?" She mocked and continued to walk, I sprinted behind her. I have no choice except to follow her.
"So we are going to find anyone who catches our eyes and..." I whispered but dared not complete the sentence as I saw her grip tightened on the shovel a clear sign that she is frustrated. Will, she just kill me? No, she won't kill me not now but maybe will blackmail me not kill me. I switched to over-thinking mode and quietly remained close to her back afraid to speak again.
"Hasz-" before she could say something related to her plan my leg tripped on what I guess was a stone or something and I tried to hold on to Karishma's shoulder for support but that backfired and both of us fell, me on Karishma's back kinda uninjured while she fell facedown and hit the ground. Honestly, I am not heavy but a fall is a fall and it hurts, I guess.
*Thud
This happened quickly that neither of us had a reaction time.
"Ouch," she muttered under her breath my hands on her shoulder blades, my nose close to her neck.
"Hasz~" she groaned in pain and I quickly placed my hands onto either side of the ground in an attempt to stand up.
"Sorry" I whispered and sat down next to him, the next second she flips herself and lays down on her back, though her breathing is normal, she rubs her forehead and that is when I notice it. I crawled next to her, swiftly extended my right hand, placed the thumb under her nose to wipe the blood meanwhile she stared at me.
"I didn't mean to, I am so sorry" I began to apologize and she caught my hand in mid-air and we locked our eyes.
"That is fine, I am good" She informed me and suddenly yanked us up from the sitting position still maintaining a death grip on my wrist.
"Ouch" I squeaked in pain and she let go of my hand.
"What?" She growled at me with an angry tone and rage-filled eyes.
"Why are you mad?" I whispered and broke our eye contact and fixed my gaze at the bare ground underneath my feet so that she will continue to walk, but I could feel her eyes fixed on me.
"Hasz, listen I am not mad, I can never be mad at you" She closed the gap between us and lifted my chin with her fingers, her eyes filled with concern, on the other hand, I was on verge of tears. She embraced me gently, with my face buried in her chest and that was the trigger, I felt tears ran my cheeks. I had no idea what to do, I was lost......
"Please, don't cry" she ran circles on my back to calm me down as I hugged her tightly, my hands around her.
"Please, why are you doing this?" I asked and choked back a sob and stared at her not wanting to leave the warmth she provided me, something changed inside me which I am still unaware of, but it was a strange feeling of being complete with Karishma around me. Moreover, it felt I had found my other half which was lost during past months. It is confusing.
"Hasz, now I want you to help me. I promise everything will be fine" She assured me and placed one of her hands-on side of my shoulder, the other one caressing my cheek while she wiped my tears with her thumb.
