Getting yelled at by Mr. Greene wasn't the best. He had told me that I was a good student, and that seeing me get into fights made him disappointed, saying that he expected better from me.
He called my father to come up to the school, and told him about my one-week suspension. Not to mention, Austin also got suspended for a week. And boy, he did not take it very well.
The car ride home was just a ride full of my dad yelling at me.
"Another fight?"
"What is your mother going to think?"
"We're going to talk about this 'Austin' kid." He would fuss at me.Once we pulled into the driveway, my dad glared at me.
"Jared. I'm very disappointed in you." He would say in a stern tone. "You know, I expect better from you." He announced, exiting the car.
He slammed the door, as I exited the car myself.
Upon walking inside, I immediately went upstairs to my room. Closing the door, I lay down on my bed, letting out a soft sigh.
I rolled over onto my side. So much has happened today, I'm exhausted.
I can't stop thinking about what happened. I mean, come on. 'Pretty boy?' Who calls someone they hate, a 'pretty boy?'
Even if he didn't mean to, how did he get 'Gopher' and 'pretty boy' mixed up. It just didn't make sense.
My eyelids felt heavy, as I felt them twitching downwards. I deserve this nap, after what happened today.

"Jared, wake up." I hear the words, though my mind doesn't fully comprehend them. I begin opening my eyes, seeing my mom tower over my bed, my vision blurry.
"Jared, up now." She says in a stern tone. It was very rare she was ever serious with me.
I sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes. "..Yeah?" I stretch, letting out a small yawn.
"Another fight really? Just because I let the last one slide, doesn't mean you can fight all you want." She placed her hands on her hips, sighing softly. "I've scheduled dinner with the Pace's family at their house tonight."
I wasn't fully awake, but that definitely woke me up. "Pace's?" I widen my eyes slightly. "Like.. A-Austin?"
She nods. "Yes. We keep hearing about Austin, and if you're going to keep getting into fights with him, we at least want to meet him and his parents." She would say, somewhat sarcastically. "We're leaving in 30, get ready. And make sure you look presentable." And with that, she left my room, shutting the door behind her.
I had just woken up from my nap, and I could barely comprehend what she told me.
I'm going to have dinner at Austin's house.
I immediately stand up, heading towards my bathroom. If Im going over to Austin's, I definitely need to brush my teeth.
After doing everything I needed to do in the bathroom, I headed back to my room. I scavenged through my drawers and closets to find something to wear. I don't know why I care so much, but I need to look good.
I end up finding a nice white t-shirt. It looked bland all by itself, so I threw on a grey flannel, and some brown baggy pants. I slipped on my white Reeboks, taking one last glance at myself in the mirror.
"Jared! Hurry up, we're leaving!" I hear my mom yell from downstairs.
"I'm coming!" I head downstairs, my parents waiting for me at the front door.
My mom makes a certain face when she sees my outfit.
"You look-" She would pause, rolling her eyes. "It's whatever, come on, I don't want to be late."
