"Eugh..." Tennis Ball sat up, looking around. "Nonono—"
He knew it was a bad idea. He regretted ever talking to Golf Ball now.He immediately recognized being in Golf Ball's underground factory. This couldn't be good news.
His head hurt, he felt sort of dizzy. Had he been asleep?
"Oh, Tennis Ball." Golf Ball's voice startled him. Her voice was soft, almost too soft. She sounded crazed. "I knew it was a bad idea telling you."
"Golf Ball— please, we can talk about this, I won't tell anyone!" Tennis Ball pleaded, his voice shaking as he tried to move away from Golf Ball.
"Oh come on, why do you sound so scared? I haven't even done anything?" Golf Ball smiled, looking closely at Tennis Ball. She knew why he was scared, and it was for good reason, but she wasn't going to hurt him.
Yet.
"Just wait here." She said, her voice growing quiet as she walked across the room. "I need to find out what to do with you."
"No!" Tennis Ball exclaimed, making Golf Ball look over as he continued talking. "What the hell has gotten into you, Golf Ball?! This isn't the Golf Ball I knew! What happened to you...?"
Golf Ball just grinned.
"Maybe you didn't know me as much as you thought you did.""Wha-" Tennis Ball just looked confused. "But we were friends! Best friends—!"
Tennis Ball paused for a moment. Wanting to say about possibly being more than just friends...
But now he knew that he would never love this monster again."We were so close," He continued. "And for what?! Just for you to do... all of this?!"
Golf Ball stared blankly at Tennis Ball for a few moments. He was right. "Well—"
"No! Seriously, what is your problem?! You seem like— a whole different person now! Like... This feels rude to ask, but is there something wrong with you?!"
Golf Ball frowned. "Elaborate."
"Are you insane?! Have you gone crazy?! Because this is NOT the Golf Ball I knew!" Tennis Ball was still raising his voice, getting more upset.
"You're... obsessed with this power you think you have! I saw you on that stage.""I know. I knew that you were there."
"Are you insane?!"
"Maybe I am." Golf Ball sighed, not wanting to have to question her morals again. "It was all for science. You get it, right? Science is important...!"
"WE SHOULDN'T BE KIDNAPPING PEOPLE FOR 'SCIENCE', YOU PSYCHO!"
Golf Ball was silent. She just wanted to shut him up.
She just sighed, turning and leaving.Tennis Ball was even more confused as to why she just left, but he knew he should be relieved.
She came back a few moments later, not saying a word as she walked over to Tennis Ball and helped him up.
"Let's go." Was all she muttered, which concerned Tennis Ball, but it's not like he had a choice, so he accepted Golf Ball's help."You're lucky I didn't kill you." Golf Ball cut in sharply, instilling a slight fear in Tennis Ball.
Was that really what was going to happen to him?
His death had been postponed, but for how long?
He looked back at Golf Ball, who didn't even bother looking back at him.
She knew that Tennis Ball knew too much. But something in her told her not to kill him.
