Thunder Strangers Part I

I woke up still thinking about the two rangers that she kept seeing. At first, I had just thought that they were a figment of my imagination but there were only so many times that I could see the same thing and have it not be real. 

I walked down to the kitchen and made some coffee when I got a phone call. I looked at the caller ID and smiled when I realized it was my father. I answered and put the phone to my ear before saying "hello." 

"Hey darling," my father's voice came through the phone. 

I smiled even bigger, "hey dad." I put vanilla creamer in my coffee "how are you?" 

"I'm good," Tommy smiled as he responded to his daughter. "Are you doing okay?" 

I nodded even though my father couldn't see me "I'm okay except for the fact that I keep seeing these two rangers and I don't know what to think." 

"Aster," Tommy started. "It's possible that these rangers aren't friendly and if they aren't friendly they may be being manipulated or controlled. God knows I've been the victim of that one too many times." 

I chuckled remembering my dad's instances where he was less than helpful to the rangers. "Alright," I was interrupted as my morpher beeped. 

Tommy heard the sound and spoke, "go and answer it but remember to be careful and I love you." 

"I love you too, dad." I spoke and hung up the phone before bringing my morpher to my mouth "what's up Cam?" 

"I just sent the others to investigate a strange heat signature at the quarry," Cam's voice came through the morpher. "Can you go meet them there?" 

"Yeah," I nodded even though he couldn't see me. "And Aster you might want to go in ranger form." 

I nodded again and I raised my hand saying "Ninja Storm! Ranger Form! Ha!" It was only seconds before I ended up in my orange suit as my helmet appeared on my head. "Power of Fire!"

I immediately ninja streaked to the quarry where I landed in front of the three others  "What the hell is happening?" 

Shane looked at me "you may want to turn around." 

It was then that I turned around and registered the two rangers standing opposite of us. "Holy crap, you are real." 

Tori looked at me "you know these bozos?"

I nodded "the crimson one saved me from Eagletor. Plus, I think I've seen them watching us." 

Crimson looked at me "get out of the way, we don't want you." 

"You want to destroy them," I looked straight at the helmet confused. "So why wouldn't you want to destroy me too?"

I didn't get an answer as they streaked past me and attacked the others. "Tori, Shane, Dustin!" I yelled as I watched the fight. I watched as Navy slashed them across the chest with his staff causing them to be blasted back. 

I watched as they walked forward and stopped across from them. I watched as the other three stood and then the other rangers each conjured up a ball of energy before disappearing. 

All of us headed back to Ninja Ops and demorphed before Shane asked "Sensei, who were those guys?" 

Sensei looked at us "they fight in the style of the Thunder Ninja Academy."

Hunter walked on Lothor's ship thinking about the orange ranger. Blake glared at him "why did you want to spare the orange ranger?" 

Hunter sighed "I don't know alright." Hunter looked at his brother "but something about her makes me interested and intrigued in her."

I was standing next to Tori when the sensor went off again and it was in the quarry again only this time it was Zurgane. We were all confused especially when he seemed to have come alone. Sensei looked at us "it could be a trap." 

I nodded knowing that he was right but we didn't really have a choice.  We all turned around saying "Ninja Storm! Ranger Form! Ha!" My orange suit appeared and my helmet appeared on my head. "Power of Fire!"

We appeared in front of Zurgane who wasted no time in trying to attack us. We flipped and attacked him but it was doing no good as all of our swords met. Zurgane caused an explosion that knocked all of us off our feet before a translucent beam appeared and Zurgane disappeared. I looked at the others "alright, I give up. Like, what the actual hell is going on?" 

Then blasts hit the other three yet left me alone. Crimson looked at us "recognize these?" They both then revealed crimson and navy tsunami cycles causing all four of us to look at each other stunned. The two thunder rangers got on and knocked into the other three rangers but left me completely alone. 

If I wasn't confused before then I was definitely confused now. I turned to the others "how did they get the disk." I shook my head as the thunder rangers got off their bikes and moved toward the three that were still unmoving on the ground. 

I moved in front of Shane, Dustin, and Tori protecting them from the thunders. Crimson looked at me "move, orange. Our fight is not with you." 

I refused to move and I watched as they called thunder and lightning down. I looked up and noticed that a navy beetle and a crimson insect appeared. I looked at the other three before Shane asked Cam to call the zords. We all jumped in and I watched Shane surround the crimson zord with fire. I jumped in "Phoenix shots." Bullets of fire and energy rained down from the Phoenix wings. 

It was then that I watched the crimson zord fire a cannon knocking Shane back. I heard Tori through the comms "I've had about enough of these guys." 

I nodded "I know the feeling." We formed the Megazord before gasping as the two others had their own Megazord. I almost didn't want to fight them because I knew that there was a chance that they were under someone else's control. 

They knocked out the zords and I couldn't believe it as we went down. Last thing I saw was sparks flying in the air from the damaged zords.
