When I got home, I immediately called my father who was in Reefside. "Hello," I heard through the phone before I spoke, "hey dad."
My father laughed "hey little flame. How are you doing?"
"I'm good," I spoke looking down at my new morpher on my wrist. "I just miss you."
"I know," I could tell even through the phone that my father was sad that his job had taken him away from me but I had chosen to stay in Blue Bay and now even if I wanted to I couldn't leave. "I have something that might cheer you up." I made a confused face before hearing a knock at the apartment door. "Open it." I walked to open the door and my jaw dropped when I realized that it was my uncle Jason and my uncle Rocky. "I called them to stay with you while you're there."
I smiled as I put the phone on speaker before moving to hug my uncles. "There's something I need to tell all three of you." They all looked at me confused "I'm the new Orange ranger."
I heard them all gasp as my father spoke through the phone "I suspected that you would eventually become a ranger, I just wasn't sure what color or element." I smiled at that before my father spoke again "remember, never escalate a fight before you're forced to, never use it for personal gain, and never tell anyone other than past rangers."
I nodded so Rocky and Jason could see before speaking into the phone "I understand."
My father sighed "be careful Aster."
I nodded "I will be." I then hung up the phone before facing Rocky and Jason and then showing them to their rooms.
Now we were in the dojo in a simulation with our hands locked together. One of the things that made the past rangers such great teams was the fact that they had amazing teamwork it is safe to say that so far, we did not. Shane kept pulling our hands trying to move faster as the three of us groaned.
We walked in the desert as Dustin spoke complaining like usual "this scroll of four better be important, these cuffs are brutal."
"Sensei wouldn't have sent us if it wasn't important," Shane spoke back to Dustin as Tori and I stayed quiet. As he was speaking he kept yanking our arms which we both found annoying but knew that even if we spoke about it then he probably wouldn't listen to us.
We found the scroll which was hanging magically in the air. It had some sort of writing on it. Shane looked at it and read it out loud "stronger is one than four." We all looked at each other confused as no one knew what that meant.
"Let's just grab it and bail," Tori spoke before Shane suddenly jerked us all and we all landed on the ground.
I heard Shane mumble "I'll do this myself" and resisted the urge to roll my eyes. So many of the previous teams didn't succeed with someone doing it all by themselves although my father nearly succeeded in destroying the rangers by himself.
We got up and I gasped as I saw a ton of kelzaks Dustin spoke from the other side of me "Kelzaks, party of ten." they attacked us as we tried to fight which wasn't easy being tied together especially when Shane was pulling. We raised our hands and gasped as the cuffs fell to the ground. Now we were free to fight by ourselves.
Tori and Dustin ended up on the ground while I fought some of the others before I rushed to help Tori while Shane just stood there. I blinked and we were back in the dojo with the simulation ending. Tori looked at Sensei "why can't we get this right? Why do we keep failing."
"That is for you to figure out," We all turned around as Sensei spoke again "tomorrow we will try again."
Me, Tori, and Dustin headed out while talking before I heard from behind me "hey where are you guys going?"
