Neil ( just for this short part)
I start to get things for the meeting, when I see a book on my desk.
It had writing in it, it was obviously from Mr. Keating. It was for the dead poets society meeting.
Todd
We head out into the woods in the middle of the night. It's really dark and I can barely keep up with the group because they keep sprinting.
I start running and trip on a tree
trunk and practically flip over it. Neil stops and gives me hand.
"Jeez Todd, are you alright?"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I just tripped over something."
My face starts to heat up, I grab his hand and hoist myself up.
We make it to the cave, and we sit there as Neil starts to read from a poetry book.
" I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life"
"I'll second that" Charlie smirks as everyone laughs.
Neil chuckles and continues.
"To put to rout all that was not life. And not, when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived."
I stare at him in awe. How could he just stand up there and read like it was nothing? Even if he was nervous, he didn't show it.
Later everyone was just eating snacks and telling horror stories. Neil was telling us one about a lady and jigsaw puzzles. Then Pitts started to read a poem from the book. It was about a husband killing his wife.
"Hold on, hold on, I got one!" Charlie says as he pulls a piece of paper from his pocket. He unfolds it to reveal a picture a naked lady. Everyone whistles and cheers as they see it.
"Where'd you get that?!?" Cameron sounds disgusted and surprised.
Neil laughs and walks up to Charlie and looks at the paper to see if he actually wrote anything on it.
Meeks starts reading a poem from the book, he turns it into a rap. We all join in song and dance with him as he walks out of the cave. We're all whooping and cheering and singing, all the way out of the woods.
Me and Neil finally get back to our dorm.
"See Todd! I told you it'd be fun!"
"Ok, ok your right, I liked it. Maybe I'll come to some of the other ones"
His face lights up with excitement as he starts to get into bed.
"Goodnight Todd"
"Night Neil"
