Two Months Later

Meera closed the lid of her laptop and grabbed her suit jacket while standing up to leave. She walked through the hallways toward Viaan's cabin and stuck her head through the door after knocking.

"You ready to go home?" she asked.

"Yep. Just finished with the files you sent." He answered while packing everything.

They went home together as Meera didn't like to drive. A lot has changed in the last two months.

In Veer's absence, Meera had started to handle the company along with Viaan. The mansion was gloomy and tense. Viaan stopped cracking jokes and Sia—however young she was but she understood the environment and stopped making demands. Armaan and Rivaah didn't let anyone see it but they were not just worried about Veer but about the whole family. Everyone's whole purpose was to take care of Veer.

They reached home and went to their respective rooms to freshen up. After Meera had changed into a fresh pair of clothes, she quickly went inside the guest room which they had adjusted to Veer's requirements.

"Any progress?" she asked entering the room.

"It's exactly how it was this morning." Reena—Veer's nurse—said before leaving the room to give her privacy.

Meera stood at the foot of the bed and only stared at Veer's face. His injuries had healed but he still didn't wake up. Doctors said that he was doing fine and he had a high chance of waking up but when? No one knows.

"Hey!" Viaan's voice whispered as he wrapped his arm around Meera's shoulder in a brotherly manner. "I knocked a few times but you didn't answer so I let myself in. I'm not interrupting you, am I?"

"You're good." Meera smiled and put her head on Viaan's shoulder who had been nothing but a dutiful and supportive younger brother to her. "You are his twin, tell him to wake up." She felt her eyes welling up, "He has rested enough. He should wake up now."

"Do you think he can hear us?" Viaan asked after a few minutes of silence.

Meera nodded. "Yes. I do. He has shown a lot of progress this week."
