As Jungkook and Taehyung embarked on their journey to Daegu in Jungkook's Mercedes Benz, the initial awkwardness began to melt away in the familiarity of each other's company.
Jungkook couldn't help but tease Taehyung, a playful grin on his face. "Tae, remember when we used to take road trips with our families, and you'd sing along to every song on the radio?"
Taehyung laughed, his eyes sparkling with nostalgia. "Oh, don't remind me! I was such a kid back then, wasn't I?"
Jungkook chuckled. "You were, but it was fun. Go ahead, sing something now!"
Taehyung rolled his eyes but began to sing an old pop song with exaggerated enthusiasm. They both burst into laughter, the tension between them further dissipating.
When they stopped at a gas station for a break, Taehyung headed to a nearby shop to grab some snacks. He returned with a bag full of chips and chocolates.
Jungkook grinned at the sight. "did you buy the whole store?"
Taehyung giggled as he opened a bag of chips. "You never know when hunger strikes!"
As Jungkook resumed driving, he couldn't join in on the snacking since his hands were busy with the steering wheel. Taehyung noticed this and felt a pang of guilt for munching alone. He hesitated for a moment but then offered, "Kook, want me to feed you some? It's hard to snack and drive."
Jungkook blinked in surprise before giving a small nod. "Sure, that would be nice."
Taehyung picked up a chip and extended it toward Jungkook's lips. As Jungkook leaned in to take the chip, his fingers brushed against his lip, and a spark of electricity seemed to pass between them. It was a small, intimate moment that left both of them slightly breathless.
Later on, they stopped at an ice cream parlor, and Jungkook ordered Taehyung's favorite flavor without even asking. Taehyung's heart warmed at the gesture as they sat at a small table, indulging in their ice cream cones.
Jungkook couldn't resist a teasing smile as he wiped a smudge of ice cream from the corner of Taehyung's mouth. Taehyung blushed, feeling his cheeks heat up as Jungkook's thumb brushed against his skin.
Their laughter and shared moments on the road were gradually mending the rift that had formed between them. As the miles passed by, they realized that perhaps this journey wasn't just about reaching Daegu for the art exhibition; it was also a chance to reconnect and rediscover the bond they had once cherished.

As Jungkook and Taehyung arrived at the hotel in Daegu, the anticipation in the air was palpable.
Jungkook approached the front desk, checking them in with a friendly smile. "We have a reservation under Jeon and Kim."
The receptionist beta nodded and handed Jungkook the room key cards. "You'll be staying in a suite, Mr. Jeon. It has two bedrooms and offers access to our pool area. Enjoy your stay."
Jungkook turned to Taehyung as he says in a serious tone "Tae, I hope you don't mind sharing a suite with me. The perks include a pool." however the taehyung did not miss the mischievous glint in his eyes as his heart thumped with excitement.
He couldn't help but blush. He cleared his throat and replied shyly, "No, that sounds great, Kook."
With room keys in hand, they made their way to the suite. As they entered, Taehyung's eyes widened in awe.
The spacious suite was tastefully decorated, with two separate bedrooms, a cozy living area, and a balcony that offered a view of the city.
Jungkook pointed to the balcony. "Look, Taetae, we can see the city lights from here."
The omega's eyes lit up with delight. "Wow, it's beautiful," he mumbles while the alpha admires the omega's mesmerizing sight.
Jungkook led him to one of the bedrooms. "I'll take this one, and you can have the other."
Taehyung nodded, his heart still racing with anticipation. This trip was turning out to be much more special than he had imagined. They dropped their bags and decided to freshen up before heading to the pool.
As Taehyung stood in front of the bathroom mirror, he couldn't help but smile. _____
