When your mom scolded you, she asked where you went. You gave the classic excuse of going to the library to study. She literally wasn't able to believe that you would spend a weekend day studying at a library. You had to admit that she had a point. You thought maybe you'll ask Yukimitsu for other excuses, since you've once heard him talk about how his mom also doesn't know about him and the football club.
'Can't believe I have more in common with him than anyone else in that club!' you huffed.
The next day, Hiruma sent a text to everyone in the club. He ordered you guys to come by the river bank for a barbecue.
'That's gotta be a trap.' you thought with a raised eyebrow.
He then sent another text, to only you this time.
'I know what you're thinking Impie "that's gotta be a trap" AND YOU'RE RIGHT!!!' with a sticker of the Devil Bats mascots yelling 'ya-ha'
'How did he get those?! Why do I want these stickers?!'
He sent you an address and told you to go there instead, at an earlier time of course. You quickly got dressed and went downstairs.

"Where are you going this time?" you stopped when you heard your mom's voice.
You didn't turn around to face her, your hand on the doorknob of the front door.
"...Hang out with some friends."
"Are you doing drugs?"
"What the fuck, no!"
"Language!" you flinched at the volume of her voice.
You shut your lips tight, gripping the doorknob with all your might. You tried to breath normally, but your heart won't stop pounding in your chest. Finally, she sighed.
"Go already, if you're going to be like this all day. It might make you do some exercise for a change. Because God knows you need some."
You took a deep breath, said a quick bye, and stepped out.

You went downtown, to the spot Hiruma told you about. There was a box attached to a lamppost, branded with the Devil Bats logo and with your nickname written on it. You opened it. Inside were two wristbands and a map of the city. A path to the river was traced with red market.
"The fuck?" you frowned.
You then noticed that on the underside of the box's lid was written: 'YOUR TRAP! GET THERE IN TIME OR YOU'LL BE PUNISHED! I WILL know if you're not wearing these wristbands!'
"You motherfucker!"
You took out your phone and texted him.
'YOU MOTHERFUCKER'

He quickly sent back a sticker of his mascot cackling maniacally.
'Time is ticking Impie!!!' he added.
You rolled your eyes and put the wristbands on. Your arms felt heavier now. It was fine right now, but you knew that it will soon feel like hell.
"Geez." you sighed, feeling exhausted already.
You shook your head.
'No! We're doing this to workout! If not now, it'll never happen!' you huffed.
With that determination, you started to run.

As you predicted, the weights on your wrists were now killing you with each step, each time you swung your arms. You were panting like crazy but you kept pushing! You had to stop at some point however, when you tripped and fell. You sat up and looked at your shoes, they were busted, and the soles didn't look right.
"Fuck." you said under your breath.
"You alright, miss?"
You looked over to see a tall man dressed like a cowboy walking over to you. Your eyes widened and you turned your head away.
'I thought I was alone!!!' you thought, your face red. 'He saw me fall like a dumbass!!! I wanna die!!!'
"Are you hurt anywhere?" he asked once he reached you.
"I'm fine." you quickly said.

"You must've been running for a while to have your shoes in such a sorry state. These aren't made for running long distance."
"Oh wow thank you for this tidbit of knowledge Cowboy-man." you rolled your eyes and stood up. "You think I don't know that?"
"In any case, I can't have a lady run again with these." he looked behind him. "I think I walked passed a sports shop earlier. Come on."
"Sports shoes are like a hundred bucks! I can't afford these!"
"Don't worry, I'll pay."
Your mind went blank for a second. He walked away for a few steps before looking back at you.
"You're coming?"

"...I said I was broke!" you followed him.
"I heard you."
"I won't pay you back."
"I don't care."
"And I won't make it up to you!"
"You don't have to."
"Then why...?" you furrowed your eyebrows, confused.
"Is it that outlandish that someone just want to do something nice, without wanting anything in return?"
"Yes."
He laughed at how immediate your answer was. You thought he was making fun of you.
