ANGRY by THE ROLLING STONES

Grand is the day where a classic sound like this hits our airwaves. Off its upcoming album Hackney Diamond, Angry is a shot in the arm for all Stoners around the world.

With a video featuring Sydney Sweeney taking an open car ride through Los Angeles and witnessing the freedom of music in all its electric buzz, this is what makes audiophiles' bucket lists for the best outcome once realised.

Listen to 'Angry' and its guitar solo by Keith Richards in the second half makes all the more memories now that legendary drummer Ronnie Wood's influence is felt far and wide, never to fade or be forgotten. As for Mr. Jagger, his vocals can never hit a wrong nerve.

WHAT'S UP? by DOLLY PARTON & LINDA PERRY

A song already celebrated for three and a half decades now finds its renewed form as two formidable ladies show us how it's done.

With the sweet tinctures and songbird sweep of Ms. Parton and the harmonies and guitar duties by 4 Non Blonde's original trailblazer Linda Perry, the central refrain of 'What's Goin' On?" is reconstituted as a precious source of wonder and sisterhood.

The music video featuring an assortment of children is full of grace and love. This song is the trailblazer they need.

ROGER WATERS Q&A AND THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON REPRISAL

The no-nonsense Roger Waters( whose solo 2017 album IS THIS THE LIFE WE REALLY WANT? is an eternal antidote in a world of idiocracy and whimsy) has made his life-long fans' wishes come true by answering questions of all hues, in a series of pithy videos regularly updated on his official YouTube channel.

The man is concise, takes no sides and is like a lion in winter, holding firmly to his contribution to the artistic canon of almost a half-century while also dropping few bombshells without the affected air of snide sentiments.

Also, his own individual, grizzled take on the classic song-cycle of The Dark Side of The Moon has produced versions of TIME and MONEY that are sparse to the point of being haunting dispatches from the void, his wizened outlook offset by the depth of the instrumental whole.

KENNEDY CENTER PERFORMANCE of WAKE ME UP by ALOE BLACC

This warm tune, layered by acoustic instruments and joyous percussion, is one for every momentous point in our lives.

A decade after it released its charms to the world, the singer makes its ubiquitous presence felt in a live performance at the prestigious Kennedy Center, honouring health workers. The lyrics, his voice untouched by the passage of time, all contribute a lot in preserving original composer Avicii's posthumous legacy as also of those who help shape the world with their constructive actions.

In a nutshell, this is a perfect song for the occasion here.

JOAN JETT performs CHERRY BOMB at THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME

Taking Dave Grohl along for a two and a half minute ride that always feels geared to express eternal imprints of youthful defiance, Joan Jett and the Heartbreakers drop CHERRY BOMB at her own band's induction ceremony.

That voice, that fierce look, those guitar licks- this is one of her greatest hits and it's rightfully served as a highlight for this particular honour. She is Rock and Roll. Period.

BRING ME TO LIFE by EVANESCENCE( ORIGINAL 2002 DEMO & 2023 REMASTER)

This morning became auspicious when the original demo of Evanescence's first and eventually enduring hit got shared with the world.

Devoid of the rap histrionics that can sound out of place in many iterations and restored in the form that still makes us giddy and instantly rapturous, Amy Lee's vocals and the band's output is in its rawest, most emotionally reflexive here.

Now that FALLEN is twenty years of age, a new remaster of the album cut that launched a million teenage fandoms is nothing short of a festive occasion. BRING ME TO LIFE is a seminal rock song opening vistas for a discography bar none and I can't wait for the band to one day find its glorious place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame pantheon.
