YES, onto some iconic stuff!! FORMAL CARM!! Carmen never fails to eat with her fancier looks. Lets take a look at em, shall we? Be warned i do a lot of gushing about these outfits particularly
____________
Let's begin with my favorite look of hers out of her whole catalogue:
Formal #1 - Gala Dress
13. Carmen's iconic red Gala dress makes its appearance in the Lucky Cat Caper, where Carmen is attending a charity event in San Francisco whilst seeking a very rare stamp.
The dress is a strapless number that is fitted around her upper body and hips before flowing more loosely towards her lower half, and is slitted at the mid-thigh length on her left side. The dress has a sparkly golden hemline that connects with a matching gold choker from the back. (see: pic #1).
It also matches the rest of her jewelry, namely her earrings with rectangular gold charms and the golden anklet on her left leg , which you might not've even realized she had been wearing (see: pic #6). Apart from her jewelry, Carmen accessorizes with tall black evening gloves that reach the middle of her forearms as well as a red clutch trimmed in gold that blends with her dress.
Carmen's hair is parted asymmetrically and is kept in an elegant high bun with one face-framing strand flying free. Her shoes are little tricky: In the show, they appear to be a set of navy blue heels with red insoles (See pic #5) In other instances, however, they appear black.
What to say about this look? it's a whole slay from head to toe. The gold hemline provides just enough of a detailing to differentiate and elevate the dress while also allowing it to remain elegantly simple and chic. The evening gloves complement her perfectly, and her hair looks gorgeous.
All in all, a 12/10, an absolute slay from La Femme Rouge.
