Chapter 5: Oh..

Like always, Aether spent his day playing games, watching tiktok and eating, only that this time, there was something on his mind the whole time. 'Why can't I get him out of my head??' He stands up, turning off his pc and putting on his jacket and his shoes. "Ughh, I need to go outside and clear my head"

On the way to the park, he noticed how quiet and peaceful it was and he was, once in his life, actually happy to be outside. As he was walking around his neighbourhood, trying to find his way to the park, he suddenly spotted Xiao. He was confident and started walking over to him, until he saw a woman with him, that was holding his hand and obviously flirting with him. Aether looked at Xiao like he had just lost the love of his life, but then he remembered that they didn't even know eachother 24 hours ago. 'Of course he does not like me. We just met. Why did I actually think that he maybe felt the same as me?' Aether wanted to run away, but as soon as he started to turn around, he heard a familiar voice shout. "Aether!" He was contemplating if he should just run away, but he realized that that would be a pretty shitty thing to do, so he turned around and walked towards Xiao and his whatever.

Xiao looked at the girl and signaled her to go away for a moment with his hands, she immediately understood and walked away, looking at trees (first thing that came to mind ok?😓). Aether awkwardly looked at the ground, trying not to look into Xiao's beautiful eyes, he wanted to say something, but before he could, Xiao was the first one to speak up. "Look, I know you were drunk yesterday and I just wanted to tell you that I forgive you for just kissing me. It was probably just a stupid mistake, right?"

Aether still didn't look up at Xiao, but he felt his eyes starting to sting, holding back his tears.

"Right, Aether?"

"Yes of course! It was an accident. Besides, I already like someone else!" He fake smiled at Xiao and awkwardly laughed at him. Xiao returned the smile, but deep down, he felt his heart sting. 'What the hell is wrong with me?' Xiao had a confused look on his face, which Aether didn't notice because he was looking at the ground again. "Good. That's good. I hope you and that person can become a couple or something!" Xiao awkwardly laughed and turned around to the girl he was with. "I gotta go! See you tomorrow?" Aether just nodded and smiled, but as soon as Xiao was out of his sight, Aether sat down on the sidewalk and started to cry. 'Why does this hurt so much? I don't even know him'

Timeskip, Nighttime

Aether was looking at the sky and the beautiful stars, when he realized how late it has become already. He took out his phone and looked at the time. "Shit, it's already 11pm?" Aether put his phone into his pocket and stood up from the sidewalk, starting to walk home, wiping away his tears, that had already dried. Suddenly, two men jumped out of the bushes and started to follow Aether. At first, He thought they were just going the same way as him, but as soon as they sped up, he realized that that was probably not their intention and he began running home. The two men started running after him, shouting stuff like "Why are you running, cutie?" Aether pulled out his phone while running and just called the first contact. Someone picked up and answered with a simple "Aether?", sounding like they just woke up. "Help, please, anyone" Were the words of Aether before he hung up.
