Body Switch

"Hyunjin!! Wake up!" I groaned and turn over. Looking at the clock, I see that it's 7:35, and I need to get ready for school.

I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom. I brushed through my hair with my hand and looked up.

"AHHHH!" I screamed. Looking back at me was Hwang Hyunjin. My best friend. Not me. I'm Y/N Y/L/N.

"What the heck is happening?" I asked myself. I've seen some weird things in my life, but nothing ever like this.

Someone knocked on my bedroom door and I opened it. Only to find myself staring back at me.

"Y/N!" My body yelled at me. She walked into the room and shut the door. "What is happening? Why am I suddenly in your body?"

"Bro, I don't know! But it sucks. You're a boy. Boys are gross."

"Yeah well you're a girl. What if your period starts?" Hyunjin grimaced.

"Sucks for you I guess. Enjoy those cramps."

He glared at me. "Shut up. Why do you think this happened?"

"I don't know. All I remember is that last night we fought and then I went home. Do you think that has something to do with it?"

"Probably. Nothing else was different than usual besides that."

"Well how do we switch back?" He asked.

"I don't know!"

"What if we have to kiss? Like those movies?"

"Ew, I'm not kissing my own body."

"We have to try."

"Fine."

My body stepped closer to me and I closed my eyes. This is so weird.

Our lips touched and I slowly kissed back, but we then very quickly pulled away.

"Gross." I shivered.

"Well that didn't work." Hyunjin said, looking at his still girl body.

"What do we do? I have dance practice today and you have choir."

"Well clearly we have to pretend to be each other. And since we're in each others bodies, we have the skills of the other. So you have my voice, and I have your dancing skills. We'll just go with it. But I don't know how to dance."

"Oh gosh. Okay, let's go to the dance studio quickly before everything starts."

"Sounds good." I quickly got dressed, while closing my eyes, and then we went to the dance studio.

First, Hyunjin practiced singing, and he sounded perfect.

Then we tried to get me to dance. It didn't work as much. I had to learn the steps, which didn't go very well. And then once I got those down, I had to work on my form. We only had an hour before all the guys got there, and it wasn't going to work.

"Ugh, stop touching me!" I yelled. I went to the couch and sat down. "I'm so tired. I don't want to do this anymore."

Hyunjin came over to me and held my hand. "Calm down, okay? Let's take a breather."

I closed my eyes and just breathed.

"Y/N?"

"Hmm?"

"I'm sorry about last night. I shouldn't have said that."

"Yeah, you shouldn't have."

He sighed. "I'm honestly not sure exactly what made me say that, but I think it had something to do with how I feel."

"How you feel has to do with who I date? I didn't know that was possible. We're friends Hyunjin. You have nothing over who I do and don't date."

"I know. I'm sorry. I guess I just got jealous."

I turned to him. "Jealous?"

"Yeah. I don't want to share you with anyone. Especially not Felix."

"Why are you jealous?"

"I don't know." His cheeks flushed.

I suddenly felt something in my stomach. Is this what butterflies feel like to guys? Weird.

"I think I do."

He looked at me. "What do you mean?"

"Ever since this morning, this body has been reacting to yours. In a way that I've only felt a few times before."

"Oh." He blushed again.

"Hyunjin, do you like me?"

"Maybe a little bit."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I've actually liked you for a while now. I just didn't want to risk our friendship for some feelings that would probably go away soon."

I interrupted him. "I like you too."

He looked at me shocked. "WHAT?"

"Yeah. You haven't been feeling butterflies today?"

"I mean I've been feeling something, but I thought it was cramps."

"It wouldn't be cramps. My period ended last week. Though that would be hilarious."

He glared at me. "It would not."

"Yes it would."

He grabbed my hand. "Will you go out with me?"

I nodded. "Yeah."

We smiled at each other and leaned in. Then I kissed him, in his body, and savored it. Wow, my body is a good kisser. The soft lips, defined arms, and longish hair.

Wait what? I pulled away and found myself kissing Hyunjin. In his body. We switched back! I looked down and saw my own body.

"Oh hallelujah. Boobs, I missed you."

"You're so weird." He giggled at me.

"Whatever." I sat on the couch and kissed him again. And again. And again. Over and over. I couldn't get enough of it.

"Excuse us." The boys stood at the door. We jumped back and I fell off of the couch.

"Woah, are you okay?" Hyunjin asked.

"I'm fine." He pulled me off the floor and into his arms.

"So no date, Y/N?" Felix asked.

"Definitely not." Hyunjin growled.

Felix laughed. "Good. Our plan worked then."

"Plan?" I asked.

"We knew that Hyunjin liked you. So we wanted to make him jealous. That's why I asked you out. I don't actually like you. Though you are beautiful." Felix smiled at me.

"You guys are the worst!" Hyunjin said.

"It worked, didn't it?" Seungmin commented.

"Whatever."

I smiled and hugged Hyunjin. "I have to go to choir, but I'll see you later."

I gave him a quick kiss and then walked to the door.

"BYE Y/N!!" The boys yelled.

"Bye everyone!"

What a weird day. But hey I'm dating Hyunjin, so I don't care.

Even though we switched bodies. In a literal sense.

Oh well.
