(Notions And Potions)

(Goren's POV)

I fell asleep very quickly that night. I didn't know, if it was because It had been kind of an odd day, or if it was just simply because of Elion's company, but the point was, that I had actually slept pretty well.

"Morning!" I exclaimed, as I sat up in my bed.
It creaked, when I leapt out of it. I felt a pair of eyes staring up at me and looked down.
"You look dreadful, Elion," I said, noticing his messy hair and dark circles hanging like weights underneath his eyes.

"No...go away."

"Someone's clearly in a mood, huh?"
I laughed and sat down on the floor next to him.

"Fuck you, Goren," he said, the middle finger on his right hand sticking out from under the covers.

"Oh yeah? Go on then."
I began to try and pull the covers off of him, to get him out of bed, but failed miserably.

"Fuck off, just shut up..."
Elion buried his head into a pillow and mumbled something that he probably shouldn't have.

"Hah, got you!"
I whacked my surprisingly hard pillow, on the back of his head multiple times, and he grunted angrily in response.

"What the hell was that for?"
Elion sat up, and tried to block me with his thin woolen blanket.
It didn't work.

"For hurting my feelings, idiot." I joked.
"You told me to go away and all that. Now I've got you!" I added, while giving him a few more whacks.

"Well, you could've warned me?!" Elion roared.

"Nope, there's no fun in that."

We stayed in my room, laughing our heads off, until my mum walked in. She was a slender woman, with the same hair colour as me, though her eyes were quite different. I liked my mum's eyes a lot. They had a sort of dark, yellow-ish colour, and reminded me of the same colour sand in the afternoon sun had.

"Morning, mum," I greeted her.

"Good morning, you two." she smiled, while scanning my room with her eyes. A confused look appeared on her face.

"Did you boys get into a fight or something?"

Elion's eyes met mine and I saw him biting his tongue.

"Well, Elion told me to fuck off, so I whacked him with my pillow."

"You didn't need to tell her that!"
Elion flinched and quickly hid his face in his hands.

"Of course I did!"

"Boys..." my mother sighed, though her eyes was sparkling with mischief. She walked out.

A sigh of relief was let out besides me.

"What's up with you? You acted like she was going to hit you or something," I mumbled.
I took Elion's face in my hands, gently stroking his hair out of his soft-green eyes.

"I don't know."
He shook my hands off and looked away, not able to keep eye contact with me any longer.

"Just know, that my mum loves you."
I patted him awkwardly on his back.
"She thinks you're very brave and that Elion's a super cool name."
