ꨄ"Uhhh yeah let me get a...what you said you wanted again?" He asked.
"A cheeseburger meal and a six piece chicken nugget." I said.
"The fuck." He mumbled. He asked me if i wanted something to eat before i went home and Mcdonald's was the only thing i was craving.
"Let me get a cheeseburger meal." He said.
"Anything else?" She asked.
"Just cheese." I added.
"Cheese only—What to drink?" She cut him off.
"A fruit punch no ice." I leaned over and he moved me back.
"Don't reach me over me the hell." He mumbled.
"Anything else?" She asked.
"And a six piece nugget, wit barbecue sauce." He said.
"Anything else?" She asked.
"And a Large fry wit a sprite." He said.
"Pull around." She said and he moved forward.
"They gone anything else yo' ass to death." He mumbled.
"Did she say how much it was?" I asked.
"I got it." He said dryly.
"I can pay for myself." I said and he ignored me as he gave the girl his money.
"Oh my God, it's almost Twelve." I stressed.
"It is? It was just ten." He said as he drove up. We haven't been nothing but talking so i guess we lost track of time.
"I'll tell miss Angela it was my fault i know how she is." He said.
"We both lost track of time." I said and he ignored me again while grabbing the food and passing it to me.
"Yo' folks don't care about you being out this late?" I asked.
"It's complicated." He said dryly and i took that as my sign to just be quiet until he took me home.
...
"Wait i don't have my house keys." I said.
"Who in the living room, the light on." He noticed.
"My momma. She always watch Tv after she get home from work." I opened the car door.
"Thanks for the food and the ride." I said before closing the door and seconds later i heard him get out the car as well.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Just keep walking." He mugged me as we walked up to the door and i pressed the doorbell. The door then was opened by my mom.
