"Mama your sons is in there harassing me." I walked in my mom's room.

"What they harassing you for?" She asked as I got on her bed.

"Girl they found out about me & Skye." I said.

"Lord not Spades." She sighed. "I knew they was gone find out soon but as long as I knew your whereabouts then it was nothing to worry about." She said.

"Um mama that's not it." I scratched my head.

"What done happened?" She raised up.

"So when I was hanging out with Skye, I wasn't sleeping in the um...guest room." I said.

"Reign Saniya Taylor, not while you have a boyfriend." She said and I slowly nodded my head.

"When I told you to figure out what you wanted why would you take that as in playing both sides? If you caught feelings for Spades or you liked him more than Elijah you should've just broke up with Elijah to avoid drama." She said.

"Yeah speaking of drama. Elijah sort of caught us kissing and they got to fighting last night." I said.

"Lord have mercy and help me with this child of mine." She sighed.

"Well you got yourself in that position Reign don't act surprised, I taught you better than to be slipping like that." She said.

"It was just in a moment type thing." I defended. "Me and Skye talked about everything though so that's good." I said.

"Well that's good. You're only 17 you gone make mistakes hell I know I did." She said. "I'm just glad you comfortable enough to be open with me, i could've never been this transparent with my mama." She shook her head.

"Oh that's what I wanted to talk to you about. I think i'm ready to lose my virginity." I said and she turned off her phone and looked at me.

"What makes you think that you're ready?" She calmly asked.

"Well i'm not saying like I wanna lose it now but when the time comes I feel like I'll be ready. I feel like it could've happened last night but it didn't, I just wanted to talk to you so I can be more prepared if it was to happen." I said.

"You're only 17 Reign, Sex is a different kind of intimacy you'll be connected in different ways, you're sharing your body with someone else in that moment, I just hope that you not tryna rush into anything." She said.

"I'm not trying to rush."

"Let me tell you something." She fully sat up. "I had Zay at 15 years old. Just young and experimenting because my mother had me so closed off to everybody. I didn't have anyone that I was close enough to come to about sex and the outcomes of it, I had no business doing that at that age. And the next year I had Serenity, I didn't wanna listen to anybody thinking I knew everything." She said.

"So with that being sad i'm glad you came to me about this. We can set up an OBGYN appointment for you tomorrow so you can get everything you need to be safe and prepared."
