I keep following the signal as the storm is letting up slowly. If I keep this up, I might have to use my cloak. My energy cells aren't at full power and with the sun blocked, I won't be able to cloak for long. Whatever the techs did to my suit didn't know what they were doing. When the sun comes out, I'll have a better chance but right now, I'm not in a good spot. I might have to get in the mud again but that'll take a while before my energy cells fully power up. The next chance I get, I need to get to a armory or a building with a power source. "Sheep. Do you read me?" Warfield. The coms are back up. "Go." I check my radar but I'm not getting anything yet. My visor has to reset. "Finally. What's your status?" I can't reset my visor or ill lose Warfield again. "Been better." I try to reset parts of my visor but it fails. Whatever that storm did, it fried my gear. Damnit. This isent a spot I want to be in. I lift my visor as I can't see five feet infront of me. "What's going on? The zerg giving you trouble?" I haven't seen any zerg ever since Nakara's zerg lead me out here. "No." My visor shuts down as I can't hear a thing. Damnit! I lower my visor as it starts up again as I feel my suit losen up. What the hell? What's going on? My suit tightens up again as my visor fully powers on. "Sheep? You there?" I stop as I look at my suit. It fully reset. What's going on? "Sheep's beacon is on general. He's drawing the zerg in!" My map comes up as I see thousands of signatures on my radar. "Run! Your close to the base!" I look around as I don't see anything. "Run terran! The Rouge brood senses you!" My radar detects friendly IFF's as I turn and bolt twords them. "He's moving general!" I see massive movement on my radar as a wave of signatures appear and turns on the others. "My brood won't hold them off for long! We are outnumbered!" Nakara's not to happy about this. I continue to run as the mud isn't Makin things easy. "General, your suits systems are restored." What the hell?! Where was this an hour ago?! I activate my cloak and turn off my beacon. "Bring your brood back nakara." I look up and see some fremilier figures. "You will be overrun terran! Even with the protoss! You stand no chance with these strains attacking you!" My foot gets stuck as I feel something pop. I face plant as I quickly recover and pull my foot out of the whole as I look down and see red eyes looking up at me. I can't feel my foot anymore. I look and see my foot just hanging. I Nash my teeth as I stomp and feel another pop as I get feeling again and can move my foot again. The ground splits under me as I grab my rifle and lung back as I turn and lift my rifle to see roach standing infront of. It roars as I pull the trigger and see it's acid filled blood spray everywhere. "Get up! Run!" I lower my rifle and see a massive sworm rushing twords me. I pick myself up as I turn and bolt again. "I can spare some mutalisks to aid you terran. They will arrive shortly." I continue running as my ankle starts to throb with pain as I grit my teeth and Continue pushing twords the base as the figures start to multiply. "Get that line up now! Don't let anything get through!" My visor focuses on the line as I see marines and marauders lined up with thier weapons trained on the zerk behind me. I get as close as I can before turning with a skid and laying down as I train my rifle on the sworm. "Wait until Sheep gets back! Hold the line!" Damnit. I forgot I turned off my beacon. "Fire!" I open fire as a wall of bullets fly over me. "General, I'm detecting a small flack of bio-signatures advancing on your position." Here they come. "We've got flyers!" I start to see beams of light fly over me. "Don't fire on the flyers!" I see a few bullets go up before they revert back down as I lift my rifle and attach it to my pack and turn around. I crawl twords the line as the hail of bullets continue to fly over me. "Hold the line!" I continue crawling as I feel my foot pop again as it goes numb. I push through the pain as I finally get to the firing line as I grab my rifle and flip onto my back. I sit up and plant my elbows on my legs as I start firing as I see dozens of zerg falling down and tripping others over. "Keep firing! We have to hold the line!" I keep firing as my visor starts to flicker with all of the bullets that are flying over my head. I hit my visor as it stops flickering as I stop firing and lower my weapon as it flickers again. What the hell? "Incoming!" I look up as I see something small rushing twords me as I lean back and my visor is taken off. I sit back up as I see a wall of fleash rushing twords us. "Don't let up! Keep firing!" I lift my rifle as I look through the scope as I can see something massive behind the hydralisks. It's stepping over them as it rushes twords us. "We've got something big!" I lift my rifle as I see it's glowing eyes. I put the cross hairs between its eyes and fire as I rears back then falls infront of me. "What the hell is that?!" I put another round into its skull as I look up and see the zerg stopped rushing twords us. "They've slowed down! Keep the pressure on!" Something isn't right. "My brood has arrived terran." I see massive glowing projectiles start to rain down on the zerg as I look to and see dozens of flying figures as they fly around, fire the blast then fly back up. "I will hold them off for as long as I am able. Pull your forces back terran." I struggle to get up as I turn and start running away. "Pull back! Now!" My ankle pops again as I fall face first into the mud. I'm lifted off of the ground as I crash into something hard. "I got you! Hold on!" I look up and see the head of a marauder as he keeps his focus forward. I look back as I see my visor is crushed. I shift and look behind myself as I see something glowing as we're rushing right twords it. "There's the canons! Keep going!" We rush past the canons as thier faces twords the sworm. "I'm pulling my brood back terran. The feral zerg are retreating." At least we got a breather now. I'm set down as I have to keep pressure off of my left foot. "You doing alright, general?" I look up at the marauders as he's looking down at me. "You took a nasty dive. Did you get hit?" I lift my foot and grab it as I pull it and feel another pop. I move my foot around as I feel more pops and something crunching. "Nothing I can't handle." I plant my foot down and grit through the pain. "At least you made it. And in one piece to." I look to my left as a marine approuches me. "Let's get you to the command center. General Warfield is waiting there." I nod. "Let's move." I'm held back as I turn and look at the marauder. "We need to get you to a medic, Sir." I take a step back as I struggle to keep my balance. "We need everyone on thier A game. There's no telling when the zerg will attack again." A few marines come up from behind him. "General Warfield wants him to report to him as soon as he got back. We have to go." I feel my ankle pop again as I can't grit through the pain anymore. I turn and look at the marine. "I'll report to him as soon as the medics cleared me." The marine gives me a tilted look. "With all due respect sir, general warfield-"
"Will get his report after I'm cleared." He takes in a deep breath. "Everyone get some rest. I want three guards here at all times. If you see anything, let me and Warfield know." I look back at the marauder. "You got it sir. The medics are hold up near the command center. I'll let them know your on the way." I nod. "Don't stay up for to long. I'll send someone to raleave you soon." He nods. "I'm good sir. Just get yourself patched up." The raiders always did have eachothers backs. I turn and look at the marine. "I'll report to General Warfield. I'll tell him what happened." He give me another tilted look. "Don't push yourself, marine. We need everyone ready." He takes a step back. "Yes, Sir." He turns around and walks away. "You heard the general, raiders. Let's get moving." I hear people moving behind me as I slowly start to follow the marine. I can still sense the feral zerg out there. Why did they pull back like that? Nakara's brood isn't that strong but they still pulled back. Why? They could have overrun us easily. I continue limping as I see lights facing me as they start to rush twords me. I continue to limp twords them as I feel my ankle pop again as I'm forced to stop and take a breath. "Sheep!" I grab the berrol of my rifle and plant the but stock into the ground and lift my foot up. I feel it pop again as I don't even want to move it. "You made it in one piece!" I look up and see the caption. "You ghosts really are insane! Facing a zerg sworm like that!" The caption looks down at my foot as her chest lights shine on my foot. I look down and see a massive tooth sticking out of my ankle. "Looks like you stepped on a zergling or something." I lift my foot and grab onto the tooth and pull it out. The caption kneels down as the other medic rushes to me and holds me up. "Looks like you got lucky! If that thing bit you any harder than it would have taken your foot right off!" The caption lifts her right hand as I see the healing beam shoot out as my foot weaves itself back together quickly. The beam stops as she reaches down and pulls my foot down as I feel a pop and then pain fades quickly. "There you go!" She stands back up as I plant my foot down with no issue. The other medic let's me go as I lift my rifle and plant it on my back as the magnets chatch it. I let it go as I let my arm drop. "General Warfield is asking for you! He asked us to clear you before you see him!" Looks like the marauder was right. "Let's get you to the command center! General Warfield will be glad to see your here!" The medic turns around and starts to walk away as I follow her. The caption alls to my right as she's trying to hide something. She's confused about something. "Those mutalisks that flew over! Were they apart of the zerg that attacked?!" I start to see the lights from the command center. "No!" Her confusion is multiplied. "There's another brood here?!" And they have the same goal. "Yes! You'll be briefed on what I've discovered!" The medic rushes up as the command center is sinking into the mud witch tells me it got here about an hour ago. The door opens as the medic walks on as I follow. We enter as the medic walks past an engineer. I walk up to him as he stiffens up. "Do you have any visors?" His mind starts to race. "Y-yes, Sir." He's more worried than anything else. "Where are they?" He turns around and pulls out a spector visor. "W-will this w-work, sir?" I grab it as it's a new model. The same model the corrupted spectors used durring the end war. "Yeah. This'll do." He breaths a sigh of raleaf as I put it on. "Let me help, sir." He reaches up and moves a few things around as the the visor fits around my head as I start to get clean air filtered through. The visor lowers as a red hue lights up and everything connects automatically. "My apologies, general. I have re-connected and ready to continue with the mission." The visor folds up. "Good work." He gives me a smile. "Sir, general warfield is over here." I look to my left and see the caption. I approuch her as she turns and walks away as I follow her and get into the command room as Warfield is hovering over a halo projector as it's constantly flashing due to the storm. "He's here, general." Warfield turns around as her suit is advanced. "Good to see you sheep." She turns back to the projector. I walk up to the projector as I see that kalas is here to. "I am pleased you arrived safely." He pouses for a second as soon as he sees my visor. "I was wondering why I lost your transponder." I look at Warfield. "It was busted before I got here." She grits her teeth. "Whoever the mechanic on shift was, they screwed with alot more than the visors. They messed with some of the power suits and some of the reapers jet packs." That explains everything. "We must focus on our current problems my friend." We both look at kalas. "We have recently discovered another zerg brood on this world." At least they didn't attack them. Nakara's already very flighty with both the protoss and the feral zerg here. "Another brood?! Are you serious?!" I lower my visor. "General, I have recovered the data from your previous visor. I also have recovered the location of brood mother Nakara's hive cluster." I lean on the projector as I grab a cable and plug it into the projector. "Project Nakara's location." The projector changes as it shows the general map and nearby terrain of her hive cluster. "Nakara?" I start to manipulate the map. "The brood is under control of a brood mother named nakara. I ran into her and into her brood on my way here." I expand the map and show the area we meet up at. "She's been here longer than we have and she's already aware of the other brood. In fact, she's trying to figure out what's going with the brood." I look at Warfield. "She's offered to help as long as we don't attack her and her brood." I look at kalas. "She's also already away of your presents. She's been attack just as much as we have and lost some of her 'strains' to the other brood and wants them back." Kalas folds his arms as Warfield leans onto the projector. "So the mutalisks that covered us were from her?" I move the map to our location as it's fuzzy again. "Yes." I unplug my visor as it folds up. "This does not explain the attacks I've been facing. Is it this brood mother that has been attacking my forces?" Warfield looks at me. "No. The brood that has been attacking us is the same brood that been attacking us and her hive cluster." Kalas slowly lowers his arms. "And she is going to aid us in our battle?" I nod. "As long as we don't attack her. She's flighty but she helped me get here as quickly as I did." Kalas lowers his head as Warfield looks at the map. "I suggest trying to work with her. We don't have the man power to fight the feral zerg by ourselves." I can feel kalas's worry. "How do we know she will aid us? What will stop her from attacking us if we do aid her?" I lower my head a little bit. "I will not ecnore the fact she aided you my friend however, I do not how she will act when the reinforces I called for arrive." Warfield lifts her haid. "Same thing for us, Sheep. Don't forget, we have a dominion fleet that's on it way." They haven't arrived yet? "I thought they would have gotten here by now." Warfield lowers her head again. "They got intersepted by a zerg force. They lost a few battlecursers when we got here and contacted them." Damnit. "This means we're stranded." I look at the map. If I could reach out to nakara, we'd be able to figure something out. Kalas approuches the projector. "Let us build our defenses then." I look up at kalas. "The storm is prevented my probes from warping in to many structures but we are able to summon some worriers, including our narizem allies." Narizem. Dark Templar? "We have a few tanks but they can't shell the zerg since the Strom is leaving us blind." This storm is screwing us. "Our ravens are also grounded to. We have no air support." I move the map to where we heald the line for a for moments. "We were able to hold here for a few moments before nakara gave us some support to fall back the rest of the way." I zoom in as the map clears up and we can see some of the defenses that are already set up. We can also see the guards I ordered for and some of kalas's forces moving around. "The feral zerg sent everything to try and overrun this area whitchs means they aren't very coordinated and will send everything to one location." I can see Warfields mind racing. "We have enough resources to last the storm. My observers are report the storm will clear soon." Good. "I also have some squads mapping out our current location. We've already gathered enough information to set up some defenses where the feral zerg is most likely going to attack." At least we have that. "Good. If we can get some tanks and cannons up, I can get back out there and see of I can't find that hive." Warfield looks at me with determination. "We can't risk it." I pouse. "If you made contact with nakara, we'll need you to be a middle man between us and her. If she's willing to help, we'll need to be able communicate as effectively as possible." I look at kalas. "General Warfield is correct. We will need to ensure this 'alliance' holds after we have distroyed the feral zerg." Both of them are very worried a out nakara. "Alright." Warfiels instantly losens up. "Then let us build our strangth. We must be ready if the feral zerg seek to attack us again." Warfield looks at kalas. "Exactly what I was thinking. We need to get our base set up fast." Warfield pushes herself off of the projector. "Our defenses will hold but not for long. We will aid your construction for as long as we can." Warfield chuckles. "We have enough man power to help keep your defenses up. Focus on your base for now. The sooner we get both of our bases up, the better." Kalas nods. "Very well." Kalas looks at me. "See if you can contact the brood mother again. I fear we may need her help more than any of us know." He's very worried about this but seeing he's willing to set aside some of his pride to ask for help from the zerg tells me he's getting a little desperate. "I'll let you know as soon as I get in contact again." He nods. "Let's get moving."
