I wake up as I hear something approaching. I turn my head and slowly open my eyes to see a shadow standing completely still as I can hear thier breath. I slowly look up at my clock, pretending not to knowtis them as I see my rifle sitting Meer inches away from my head. I always keep it near, with a full magazine. Saftys off. '02:00' funny. Always tries to a sneak attack. The shadow takes a step closer as I bolt up, grab my rifle and shoulder it as I lift it and the lazor kicks on. The yellow lazor eliminates a part of my room as the shadows disapesrs. I've been seeing that thing for a few days now. Maybe it's becuase of the exhaustion. I lean back and hit my bed as my rifle lays on my stumic. I close my eyes as I instantly feel my body fall back asleep. I open my eyes to hearing banging on my door. "Wake up spector!" That voice. It seems...fremilier. I hear more banged as I lift my hand and plant it on my face as my body creeks with soreness. "Get up spector! We've got some questions!" I let my head fall to the right as I look at my clock. '0230'. Damnit. Why is it always me. I slowly get up as my rifle slides down and off of the bed. I groan as I lean down and pick it slowly as the lazor kicks on. "That better be you waking up!" I stand up and use my rifle as I cruch and slowly approuch the door. "I'm not asking again! Wake the hell is spector!" The banging starts to bring a headache as I place my hand on the sensor pad. "Colnol Sheep. It is 0230. Please return to bed." The door opens as I chetch the man's hand as I push him away out of irritation. "It's about damn time." He tries to enter as I plant my hand on his chest and push him out. "Really?" I look at the man as he brings his hands up. "The hell you want?" I see three. The other two are nervous as they see how tired I am. "What's it to you?" He tries to enter again as I lift my rifle. He stops and gives me a smile. "I'm not asking again." He chuckles. "What? Ask for a court martial?" He takes another step forward as I quickly lift my rifle, plant my hand on the grip and but the berrol agenst his forhead. His errigens is quickly replaced with fear and I switch the safty off. "You have 30 seconds." My senses aren't waking up. I have to play it smart. One of the guys slowly reaches for my rifle and lowers it as the other grabs the man's arm and drags him away. "W-wever traking someone who snuck onto the base. With the zerg in the area, we figured it may be a changling." I switch the safty back on. "And you instantly go for the phyonic?" The man notes my hostility. "He did but we searched the rest of the building to be safe." I look down the hallway as the other two are arguing. "Look colonel, we didn't want to bother you. We all know what kind of work you just did but Simon wanted to check." I look at the man as I remeber him now. "We tried to warn him but he wouldn't lision." My eyes focus up more as I see he's a marine. That means the other two are also marines. "Why would I hide a changling?" I lean agenst the door seal as I gently shake my head. "That's what we asked but he wanted to check. Frankly, he just wanted to irritate you after what you've been through the past few says." I look up as I can hear the yelling. "What company you guys in?" He pouses as I straighten up. "What company?" The marine stiffens up. "423rd, bravo platoon, Sir." I losen up as I can't get mad at the messenger. "I want a list of names of everyone who's cousins trouble in your company by tommorow evening." He tilts his head. "And expect me to show up to. I want that list as soon as I get there." The marine slumps down a little bit. "Y-yes sir." I pull back into my room and set my rifle agenst the wall next to my room. I leave my room as I plant my hand on the sensor pad. The door closes and locks. "W-where are you going Sir?" I turn and face the other two as I see one of them doing push ups. I approuch them as the one standing over the other has his arms folded. I stop next to the man as the one counting slows down. "I'm sorry about that sir. Simon's always been an individual who doesn't lision." I look down at him as it's clear he remembers me from basic. "I'm not supprised." The man shakes his head and turns to me. "Forgive my lack of barrings." The man straightens up. "Corprol Jules at your command sir." I wave him off. "It's 2:40 in the morning. There's no need for formalities." The man losens up and looks down at Simon who's stopped. "Did I say you can stop private?! Did I tell you 'you can stop'?!" Simon scoffs. "You not only disrespect me, our commander but you disrespect a colonel?! You've got some nerve and I will not have it! Keep going! I didn't say stop! KEEP GOING! NOW!" Simon slowly goes down as it's clear he's holding back. It's sad to see him like this. "On your feet." Simon stops. "A Colonel just gave you a damn order!" Simon slowly gets up. "POSSITION OF ATTENTION!" Simon scoffs again and then straightens up. "You scoff again and you'll wish you had a 24 hour duty tommorow. "Like you'd do anything." The corporal nearly pushes him as I place my hand on his shoulder. "I'll take care of it." The man instantly backs off as I take a step closer to Simon as he turns his head away. "Look at me." Simon shows his teeth. "Look at me." My senses wake up as I start to attack Simon with energy as I see him shaking. "I won't order you again." His head jolts to look at me. "Or what? You'll make me do an exercise?" I put on my death stare and don't awnser him. His mind opens up. He's thinking about all of the exercises and how he can do the bare minimum. "I figured you were better than this." He scoffs at me again. "Like your any better." The corporal can be heard nashing his teeth. "There's only one way to teach you." His thoughts turn to confusion as he invertantly thinks about his worst fear. I can feel it slowly growing. "Can't teach a man who's lost everything." He gives me a forces smile as I see he's got alot to lose. There's one I can take that'll break him. I can imagine the fear and regret he'll ooze. "You've got alot to loose. You can't lie to me. Even if I couldn't read your mind, I'd still figure it out in a few hours." His fear grows quickly as I can't help but smile. "What's tommorow, corporal?" I keep my eyes glued to his as I take in every ounce of information from his mind with ease and continue to bombard him with my energy. Its...intoxicating to taste his fear. To taste...the nightmares of a piece of crap human being. "It's a Saturday sir. It's accoualy the 30-year anniversary of the end of the brood wars." Perfect. "Good. Your marine will give you the details of what's going to happen" I hear the corporal forget to breath for a second. "Colonel wants a list of every soldier who makes trouble in the company. He's also going to be visiting the company tommorow sometime in the afternoon and he wants the list shortly before he gets there." The fear skyrockets. It's left me filled. I've had enough and now I can get some good sleep. I losen up then turn and face the corporal. "Done. I can already give you a long list." I let my senses go back to sleep. "Good. I also want to talk with your commander and first Sargent." Both of them freeze up. "I also want both of you there along with the platoon leaders of the listed soldiers." Both of them freeze up. "I'll explain tommorow. Right now, I need to get some rest." Thier both left speakless. I turn left and start to slowly walk to my room. "Sir." I pouse. "Wouldn't it be better if we brought the whole company insteed? It would be better just to address everyone rather then calm for a select few." I take a moment. "Good idea. Go ahead and leave people who are on leave alone. I have a feeling they wanted to get away from the trouble makers rather than work." I take in a deep breath then turn half way twords the three. "And corporal." He forgot to breath again. "Keep an ear out for your name after I'm finished." I've got plans now. I've got leave for a few weeks so I'm going to have some fun. I turn and continue walking to my room. At least I can have a little fun now.
