I continue to walk through the mud and gravel as I can feel my feet get colder every minute that passes by. The rain isn't letting up either. The thunder and lightning keeps striking around me as it doesn't get near me but I can feel massive waves when the thunder cracks through the planet. I also keep seeing movment but my visor isent working right. It keep flickering and resets every few minutes. It's pissing me off. I stop as I look around and can't see anything to far away anymore. "General. The Strom is interfering with your equipments advanced functionality. Power from your pack has been diverted to keep your aptics online however, you will not be able to see far until the Strom clears up." Great. "Can the cruisers detect my beacon?" My vision changes as the blue hue disopears and I start to get wired frames of possible units. I can still sense them out there. "No general. However, your cloak can be activated without depleting your energy cells. I'd advice you activate your cloak as scans have confirmed zerg bio-signatures spread throughout the waist land you are currently traveling through." I spot a zergling as it's close. It looks like it's been following me for a while if it's the same one that's been whatching me ever since the last fight. "Yeah...I'm seeing one right now. Got any idea why some of the zerg haven't attacked?" I begin to walk again as I turn away from the zergling. "Negitive general. No reports have confirmed passive zerg however, long rang scans have confirmed multiple possible broods inhabiting this planet." If only we could get one brood. It's always servral that attack but the one we've been fighting aren't cordinated. They just attack until everything has been flattened. "What about the others? Did they manage to get to the cruisers in time?" I spot another zergling as it's moving out of my way. It's whatching me to but it's clear the storm is keeping them from getting to far. "General. Your transmission is failing. I can no longer receive your commands." Damnit. Lone wolf again. At least I can consintrate now. I pick up speed as I grab my rifle and turn the safty off. If the zerg want to attack me, now would be the best time. I spot another zergling as it's walking infront of me. Are they on all sides? I look to my right as I spot another. Thier herding me. They wouldn't do this unless thier cordinated...but why aren't they attacking me? I look forward as I reach out phyoniclly as I do sense zerg in every direction. It's only about 6 zerglings but thier on every side. Thier close to. I can't see 20 feet past my nose but with my visor, I can bearly see them. Its getting colder to but they don't even flinch. I can still sense something else out there to. It's sheer power can still be felt, even through the storm. Now it's not even trying to hide itself from me. I need to figure out what it is. If it's one of those qweens, I have to take it out if it's leading the brood that keeps attacking us. I focus on the energy as I start to walk twords it. I can sense the protoss though. I'd have to stop and fully concentrate but if I do that, I'm dead. Either I'm to tired to figure out how far this thing is, or the Strom is effecting my abilities to. That doesn't make sense though. I've always been consistent, even in extreme situations. Either something is suppressing my abilities or whatever it is that's out there, it's still hiding alot of its true power. I hear something to my right as I plant my feet, turn and lift my rifle. The lazors kick on as a zergling slowly approuches me as I keep my rifle trained on the monsters head. It stops infront of me as it looks up at me with its toothy mouth as it's talens slowly move around. If it's grawling right now, I can hear it. I turned off the noise intake on my headset. I glance around as the other zerglings aren't approuching me but waiting for me to continue moving. I start to hear something as the zergling slowly backs off. I slowly pull back my trigger finger as I don't need to waist the power on my rifle. I slowly lower my rifle as the zergling looks back then turns back to me. I slowly turn around as I see another zergling standing infront of me as I remain calm. I hear the whispers again as the zergling turns around. It starts to walk as i keep my ground. The whispers come back as the zergling stops then looks at me again. What is it doing? I looks forward again and starts to walk again as I see the others walk past me. I chatch a glimpse at one of thier tails as I see it's a dirty orange color. The others had no coloration but bad blood red eyes. These ones...they have a blueish tint to them. Didn't the sworm have purple eyes when the qween of blades came back? The zerglings stop walking as I'm more confused then I have been in a long time. I slowly start to walk forward again as the zerglings start walking again as they turn slightly. Wait...do they...want me to follow them? The whispers come back as the zerglings spread out a little bit. One of stops and turns to the right quickly. I stop when it roars at something as I look where it's looking as I see a wire frame of a hydralisk roar back as I see some spines rushing to the zerglings as the bolt forward. I lift my rifle and shoot the hydralisk as the zerglings circle back and gather up. They look back at me before turning back around and continue. I don't think I've every seen zerg fighting eachother. Not after the war was over. There's something very wrong here. I rush up to the zerglings as when I get closer to the pack, the whispers get louder. I can almost make out some word but the zerglings don't even flinch when I come up behind them. Either this is a trap or their actually trying to help me. Guess I don't really have a choice now, do I? We pick up some speed as the rain get thicker. I won't last long if the wind picks up more.

I spend about an hour following the pack as the whispers haven't come up again. We've also been left alone more but I have spotted more zerglings gathering around me witch is leaving on edge. The zerglings stop as the slowly turn to me. I get ready to fight but they don't move. "Terran. Can you head me now?" The hell? I lift my rifle as I turn around and see another 6 zerglings as thier approuching me but walk past me. I lower my rifle out of sheer confusion. "Do not be alarmed terran. I am here to aid in your survival." I turn back to the growing pack. I can't believe I'm going to do this. "From where I'm standing, you've done nothing but kill groups of my soldiers and flattened the base we were using." The zerglings turn around and start walking again. "This brood is under control by another. I have kept my brood out of the conflict." I doubt that. "Don't really see a point in staying out of the fight when your friends clearly want us all dead." The zerglings stop. "This brood is not apart of the swarm. Oversqueen zagara has a pact with your emperor and has ordered all brood mothers in the swarm not to harm any tarred or protoss unless we are provoked." Guess they really are smarter then we give them credit for. "Then why are you here? We've been here for nearly a year and we've been attacked non-stop by massive swarms of zerg."
"I've been observing your actions for many months. You have not attacked my brood so I have only observed your struggle with this Rouge brood. Now I wish to know more and why you have abandoned your post." I hear a massive roar behind me as I turn but don't see anything. "Follow my brood terran. I will ensure your safty until you arrive so we may discuss our next actions." I turn back to the zerglings. "And why would I do that? All I know is that this could be a trap and I don't like that." The roar comes again as it's getting closer. "All I can offer is my word that me and my brood will bring you harm." The roar echos through the Strom as I have to deal with the friendly faces rather than getting lost out here and killed by some ultralisk that's wondering around looking for a small snack. "Don't really have a choice, do I?" The zerglings start to walk again. "You do have a choice terran. I encourage you to come to an ally rather then remain lost in this waist land." I start to follow the zerglings again. "How do I know your an ally?" The roars start to get quite. "It is...how do you terrans say it? A gamble? Yes, a gamble." Doesn't help. "And will I lose this one sided gamble?" I tense up as the zerglings flinch at that. "As I said terran. I wish you no harm. I am aware of your allies however, I am unaware of your presence here and I would like to know more." Guess zerg can be curious to. "If your zerg has been the ones only whatching us then I'll use that but if I even sense something off, I won't hesitate to fight." The lightnings stopped. The thunder is slowing down to but the rain isn't. "You terrans are always so eager to fight, even when the odds are impossible, you still fight." She sounds confused. "We didn't make it this far without sitting on our asses. Most of us are just to stubborn to even sit back down sometimes."
"This is true. We have witnessed the tenacity and resourcefulness of your terrans first hand when you boldly attacked char. The fact our queen returned more powerful than any broodmother confuses us even now." Rayner couldn't leave some stuff behind. Kinda glad he was more stubborn than anyone else. If he wasn't, we would still have the old queen of blades and we all would dead right now. Still. I'm surprised the zerg rebounded so quickly and evolved faster than ever. "You still doubt my intentions?" I can't help but chuckle a little bit. "Being attacked by zerg ever since I got here and now I'm talking to one and following a pack of zerglings isn't exactly what I would call 'conferting'. Still getting use to the fact that we've got protoss allies here who are rearing to glass the zerg that have been attacking us this whole time." There's a short pouse. "There are protoss on this planet as well?" Now she sounds distressed. "Yeah but they got here a few days ago. I haven't seen thier base but with how low you've been laying, I wouldn't be suprised if they haven't even seen you yet." She pouses as I can the shift in her energy. "I do sense them. That means they are aware of me and my broods presence."
"Guess there more to this alliance. As long as you don't surpise them or the rest of our forces here, they won't go after you as long as you stay low." She's letting her mind wonder. I can start to read her mind the close I get. Her brood is small but it seems like it's a strong brood. Stronger then the one that's been attacking us dispite being half thier size. Hell, I think her broods smaller than the outpost that was flattened a few hours ago. "It appears we have much to discuss terran. You are nearly at my edge of my broods give cluster on this planet. Do not be alarmed by my broods numbers. As long as you remain calm, we will do you no harm." Still struggling to process that. "As long as we both stay calm and don't do anything stupid, everything should be fine." I have to force myself to put some trust into these zerg. I would still be wondering out there if it wasent for them anyway.
