- Johnnie's POV -

𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐋 𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐄𝐏 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑...I had told them she was asleep but they had come in anyway. Since Leo —I believe that was the guys name— wanted to give her a present. We were all standing in my room and the girl, Ava, bent down and brushed her hand through her hair. "What happened?- she looks like she's been crying."

"I'm not quite sure, she didn't tell me. She was mad at first, but started to cry. She fell asleep in my arms and then I put her on the couch." Ava looked at me really shocked, and confusion was evident on my face. She just brushed it off and leaned her back on the couch.

"She doesn't let most people see her cry," Leo simply said as he placed the stuffed toy, which was a bear, beside y/n. She immediately embraced the toy in front of her and she turned around on the couch. "Once she sleeps, she's out like a rock." I watched leo let out a breathy chuckle. I nod my head and Leo sits down beside Ava, and I take it upon myself to sit on my bed.

"It's probably the withdrawal symptoms from the drugs she in-took a few months back." Ava announced and I was unaware she had took drugs in the past, I thought she only smoked cigarettes, but the snapping and such was starting to make sense.

"What kind of drugs?" I question and they both looked at me as if they saw a ghost. They start to awkwardly touch the back of their head and the awkward tension was sort of hitting me like blades as well. It was like the room was dead silent, and even a breath could be heard.

"I don't think we should be telling you that, but we can tell you what happened to her. She doesn't mind letting friends know what happened to her. She suffers from borderline personality disorder, I don't understand the disorder myself, but I heard it's hard." Ava explains to me thoroughly, while giving y/n a look of despair. You can see it by the looks on their faces, how much they care about y/n.

It looked like Ava couldn't speak anymore since I could see she was going to tear up. "She told me after Jake left, her mom and dad started to drink. I heard it was bad, cops would always show up at their door. So I guess she just started to get into the habit of drugs and causing chaos with the police because it was all she was ever taught. We have been friends since high school so we were there for the most of it." Leo finished, sharing a look of despair with Ava.

"Why are you telling me all of this? I mean I appreciate you telling me a bit about her, but why do you trust me with this information." Genuine curiosity was bitting at me, and I didn't know why I was trusted with this. Me and y/n aren't even that close yet, what would happen if she found out I knew? Would she get mad? I notice that her two friends had looked at each other before they looked at me.

"Well, if she's crying in front of you, and allowing you to touch her, that means she must care about you. It took us years before she would let us even near her 'circle' as she would call it. She never let people get intimate with her, or even emotionally. We just want you to know what she's like, because she's bound to snap a million more times." Leo gave me a light smile, and I nod understandingly.

"Well, she seems like a fun person to be around. I enjoy her company." I smile at the two of them, and they seemed pretty happy with my answer. They both had got up, and started to brush themselves off, signalling they were going to leave.

"We better head off now. This asshole has a basketball tournament." Ava nudges Leo and they both walk out. I'm starting to realize that they're sibling, since they share that sibling fighting dynamic. I heard about of ruckus before the front door shuts. Satisfied that I was finally alone, I started to make my way over to my chair and started to edit a YouTube video.

though- I couldn't get my mind off of y/n. All of this information was a lot to take in, but I won't treat her differently now that I know. I turn around in my office chair, and she's still dead asleep. Her body was still turned around, and her shirt was lightly lifted. It wasn't hard to see a scar down her back, my heart ached even more for y/n. After staring to no where in particular, I decided to get started on my editing.

"Ughh," I heard groaning so I turn my chair to see her finally awake. She was asleep for two hours, and my editing was long done, I had spent my time watching YouTube videos, and lightly humming to songs. "Hi." She looks at me, with no glare, with no despise, it was a simple smile and a polite tone. It may seem so little, but for me it was so much more then just that, it means she's getting more comfortable around me.

"Hello." I reply back with a light smile. and she looks at me with these dreamy eyes and it was sort of addicting. Her eyes were pools of liquid light —they were the same colour as mine— but yet they were so compelling. It was like we were staring each other for answers, like we were reading each others minds by simple eye contact.

"How long was I asleep?" Her voice was barely above a whisper, we were still looking at each other with these intense eyes. Though it was cheesy, I didn't want to talk, I just wanted to stare at her all day long.

"Two hours." I explain while comfortably sitting on my office chair, it looked like something popped inside her mind. She broke the eye contact and started to look through her purse and after a moment or two, she slumped her body and stared off at the distance.

"Where did I put it," She mutters once more and started to look around. I was staring at her hair, her eyes, her body movements, I was staring at the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Though the dreadful past still haunts her, and I could tell she feels unloveable by the way she pushes people away. I still think she's beautiful, inside and out. "Where did this come from?"

"Leo bought you that as a thank you gift." She smiled at the teddy bear and placed it back down.

"Have you seen my lightener?" I point to the couch and it was sticking out in between the couch. She grabbed it and made her way out of the room, presumably to have a smoke. There was just something about the way she talked, the way she kept herself a mystery. That mysterious demeanour kept me on the edge, it made me yearn to find out more about her.

It was then I knew, I was devoted to make her smile as many times as I possibly could.
