we were all listening in to the conversation that Julia and Mum were having with Adam. Adam wasn't too thrilled When he found out I was pregnant Connie and him going to a screaming match that lasted a week

But eventually, he calmed down and realised we weren't changing our minds. thank God my dad was more understanding and supported me all the way.

"let's get something straight here, not letting them lose anything because it's been out of my hands since the start so don't go making me the bad guy here" we heard Adam say from behind the wall Conrad went to walk in, but J grabbed him by the arm to pull him  back. my mum was doing her best, but Adam was fighting back

"I think I'm gonna go now because that's not happening end of story"

"Do you know what, I have a question for you,These boys have been trying the hardest these last three days to save this house and you have in the last several weeks"

"shut up Laurel you don't have a vote ok"

Okay, that made me mad. If I didn't have a baby in my arms, I would be the one yelling i looked down at ella and then turn to Conrad and whispered " I'm about to hit your dad" in a angry tone " not before I do" answering , looking back at me.

"i know suze made you feel like this house is part yours but it's not"

That sent Conrad off before I could even stop him. He walked into the kitchen. All of us following behind.

"where do you get off, Saying shit like that"

"con it's for the best" turning back to my mum. "Did you really think railroading me change my mind"

"excuse me, but fuck you" I tried to hide my smile, "go Mum," i whispered to Steven so only He could hear me which made him hold in his laugh as hard as he could.

"suze Wouldn't want us to fightinh like this"
"you have no idea what she would want, you lost her along time ago" connie said . I looked down at Ella to see if she was still sleeping, hoping she wouldn't wake up.

"Can't you get past your own grief see what it means to the boys"

"Look, I thought it would be better this way easier for everyone if we let this place go"

"Easier for you" as Conrad's voice cracked

"yeah, being here is hard it's hard uh, She's everywhere here"

"She loved you. I tried to talk some sense into her it's no secret I've never been your biggest fan, but she wouldn't listen when beck Set her mind on something that's it. She set her mind on you adam and  this house, a special place for our kids and grandkids" she said turning to me smiling at ella

"dad please"  j begged

"look I'm not gonna let them use the trusts but if I sell the Boston house that could give us enough you'd both be at school mostly anyway but we can't afford both houses is this really what you want" I looked up at Conrad as he looked down at me

I gave him a nudge "yeah" he said looking back at his dad "yeah" j answered

"ok then"

I smiled up at Conrad and kissed him on is shoulder. I saw J go out the back door, and I nodded towards him, "go " I told Conrad

I was walking down the hall when I heard the boys talking in the kitchen

"Samford is your dream school"

"I'm not gonna let you give up on your dreams and stay at Browns because you're trying to do right by me and violet who will be a lot more fucking pissed, a lot more than me"
