Chapter four
Anakin and Kaia
Trinity's POV:
Once the storm stopped I started to swim to the beach. I had to leave Anakin there and not be seen. I panted softly as I carried the large man. "Trin!" Coral said. I looked over to see her carrying a female. "Coral. You're ok." She nodded and said "I'm glad you're ok. I wasn't sure what happened to you. The storm and the rocks and the fire. And then..." She gestured to the unconscious woman in her arms. "Anakin was knocked off the ship. He would've drowned. I had to save him." Coral smiled and said "I know how you feel. I had to save her." The two of us slowly made our way to the shore. I pulled Anakin up onto the sand as much as I could without beaching myself. He laid on his back, his lips parted as his chest fell and rose slowly. The shirt he wore had ripped and I looked at his toned chest, slowly running my hand across his chest. My fingers glided over his abs, going up to his shoulders. I slowly ran my fingers against the scar by his eye. I wondered how he got it. Was it from a stupid accident as a kid or was there something evil behind it. Did someone maliciously hurt him? Anakin groaned softly and I gasped. His face scrunched up in pain and then relaxed again. I brushed some of his hair out of his face, singing softly, my siren voice carrying itself through the wind. What would I give to live where you are?
What would I give to stay here bedside you?
What would I do to see you smiling at me?Anakin's hand slowly reached for mine. I grabbed his hand, intertwining my fingers with his. I smiled at our hands, a blush going to my cheeks.
Where would we walk?
Where would we run?
If we could stay all day in the sun
Just you and me, and I could be part of your world"One day." I whispered. Anakin's eyes slowly began to open. I stroked his head, running my fingers through his hair. Anakin's hold on my hand got tighter, squeezing it. Coral laid on the other side of me, laying her head on the woman's shoulder. "You're so pretty. I wonder if you would think that about me? Would you even want to be with me?" Coral's voice said. I half smiled and looked back at Anakin. "There!" "The prince!" "And Kaia!" Voices said. I gasped and looked up, humans were running towards the beach. Coral pushed herself off the sand and said "Trinity, come on!" I looked back at Anakin who was slowly coming to but wasn't all there. Coral pulled me away from Anakin, practically dragging me into the water. My survival instincts kicked in and I swam away from the shore, not wanting to be caught. I came up to the surface and watched Anakin and the girl get picked up, carried away from the castle. I was glad he was ok. Coral sighed and went back under the water. I followed her and Flounder was quick to meet me. "You saved him!" He said. I nodded and said "yes. He's safe now." Sebastian shook his head and said "when your father finds out." "He's not going to find out because you're not going to tell him, Sebastian. Promise me you won't." I said. Flounder narrowed his eyes at Sebastian and said "you can't tell." "I'm not gonna tell! I promise." I pointed a finger at the red crustacean and said "you'd better not. You promised." "Trinity, when have I ever let you down?" Coral looked at me and said "I'm gonna go home for a little bit. I'll meet up with you later." I nodded and watched the purple and orange haired mermaid swim off. I knew I'd have to go home and check in with my father so I headed that way, Sebastian and Flounder following me.
Anakin's POV:
I gasped and sat up, looking around the room. I realized I was in my bedroom. I wasn't sure how I'd gotten here. Wait. The girl. I jumped up out of my bed, going down the stairs. "Anakin, you should be laying down." My mother said. I ignored her and went to the balcony overlooking the kingdom. "Ani?" Ashoka's voice said. I looked at her and said "did you see her?" "Who?" "The girl." "What girl?" "The girl who rescued me." My mother laughed softly and said "you bumped your head, Anakin." I furrowed my eyebrows and said "what?" Ashoka approached me and gently touched my head. I realized I had a bandage on my head. "Oh." I said as I ran my fingers across the bandage. I looked towards the beach and Ashoka said "you said someone saved you? Are you sure you weren't dreaming?" I narrowed my eyes at her and said "no, Ashoka." "You literally almost died. It's totally ok to have a weird dream or imagine a girl rescuing you." I shook my head and rolled my eyes. "Ashoka, she was real. How else am I alive?" "Maybe because you washed up ashore! Not because some magical girl that doesn't exist saved you." I glared at Ashoka and said "so I imagined it?" "Yes. You did. You were on the beach when we found you. There wasn't anyone else with you. It was just you and Kaia." Ashoka replied. I nodded and said "I'm going out to find her." "You'll do nothing of the sort! You're going to stay here and get better!" Mom said. I looked at my mother. "Mom, I'm fine. I feel fine." "Anakin, you're staying here. I forbid you from going out on the water. It's not safe. You were almost taken from me. You're going to stay here in the castle. Until you're feeling better." I huffed and stormed off, going towards my room. I went to the balcony and felt myself overcome with anger. Why didn't anyone believe me? Was it that unbelievable? I heard my bedroom door open and close. "What?" I seethed. "It's me." Kaia's small voice said. I turned around and she slowly entered the room. "I heard what your mom said. I also heard what you said." I scoffed and looked back out towards the water, shaking my head. "Think I bumped my head?" "I didn't say that, Anakin. I was going to say-" "I already know what you're going to say. It's fake! It's not real! The Jedi master is imagining being saved from the water! It's all in my-" "I believe you!" Kaia interrupted. My eyes widened and I turned to face her. "W-What?" "I believe you. I think someone saved me too." I furrowed my eyebrows and Kaia approached me. "How did you know a girl saved you?" I gulped and said "she was singing. It was the most beautiful thing I'd ever heard. I felt her hand in mine. I couldn't see her. My vision was too blurry. But, her voice. It was...ethereal." Kaia nodded, taking in the information. "Was it the same girl? Who saved us?" Kaia shook her head and said "no. The voice I heard didn't sing. She spoke to me. I couldn't hear what she was saying exactly. Her voice was muffled and I'm sure that's from being in a shipwreck. I couldn't understand her. But I heard speaking. Not singing." I looked out towards the ocean and went to open my mouth when Obi Wan came into the room. "Anakin, I'm so glad to hear you're okay. How are you feeling? Is there anything I can do for you?" "Send all the guards out. They must find this girl. Comb the beach, the jungle, the streets. Everything. I want this mystery girl found." I told Obi Wan. "She should have a companion. A friend. Find them both." Kaia quickly said. I half smiled and Obi Wan said "sure. Is there anything else I could help you with?" "Not at the moment, Obi Wan. I'm going to stay up here a while." My former master left the room and I looked at Kaia. "I'm so glad you believe me." She smiled at me and said "of course I do. I was with you. We were both saved. By two mysterious girls who need to be found." I felt a lot better that I wasn't going crazy. Even though I knew I wasn't. Kaia was there. So, it wasn't just me. I knew Obi Wan and the guards would find the girls. It couldn't be too hard. Everything would be perfect once they were found. It'll all fall into place. And everyone would see that I was telling the truth.I didn't know how to end this I'm sorry!! It's complete ass. I hope everyone likes this so far and is enjoying it!!
