"Hey… human. Hey… wake up."
The unfamiliar voice stirred Kichu from unconsciousness. His eyes fluttered open, and the first thing he saw was—
"AHHH!"
A terrifying creature with three eyes and jagged, irregular teeth was smiling at him.
Without thinking, Kichu jumped back and started hurling stones at it.
"D-Don’t come near me! I swear I’ll kill you with this stone!"
The creature tilted its head, unfazed.
"Yeah, yeah, I’ve heard that before. By the way, that stone isn’t big enough to kill me. You’ll need a bigger one."
"Shut up! I was going to the gym for three mont—no, three years! So don’t even try me!"
The creature blinked its three eyes.
"I have no idea what that means, but… isn’t introducing yourself before a conversation the polite thing to do?"
Kichu narrowed his eyes.
"Ohh… I see. You just want to know my name so you can put it on the menu before cooking me, huh?!"
He hurled another stone.
The creature let out a deep laugh.
"Haha! I don’t eat humans. But can we at least talk about how you tried to kill me?"
"I tried to kill you?! Are you joking?!"
"JOKING?! Look at this!"
The creature pointed at a large bruise on its head.
Kichu frowned.
"I don’t remember causing that. You’re lying."
"Lying? Man, listen—" the creature sighed. "I was just minding my own business, doing my morning routine near that rock, when you came crashing down from the sky and landed right on my head!"
"Wait… what?!"
"Yeah! I got so scared I flew 500 meters away! And then I had to walk all the way back here, only to find you unconscious on the ground. So I treated your wounds and waited for you to wake up. And now, the first thing you do is attack me?!"
Kichu stared at the creature, processing what it just said.
"Is that… true?"
"Yes! Every word!"
Kichu scratched the back of his head, feeling guilty.
"Uh… then I’m really sorry for causing you trouble. And… thanks for saving me."
"It is settled then. My name is Saas" the thing said.
"Nice to meet you Saas, my name is Abhinand but you can call me Kichu." Kichu replied.
"okay Kichu can you tell me the circumstances. why are you here?"
"That's a big story." Kichu said with a deep breath.
"Okay then we can say it in my lab" Saas said.
"Okay."
