One day and twenty hours to reach Hedaxipotomous.
"So, I've been thinking," Kichu looked at Fizz.
"When we were at Sophis-X, you called the king by his name. You were talking like you knew him. So... how do you know him?"
"You're a late questioner, aren't you?" Fizz chuckled. "Why didn't you ask before?"
"I only say what's on my mind at the moment. That question wasn't there back then," Kichu replied, biting into his bread.
"We... uh... we were friends. I don't know if that's the right term," Fizz said with a small laugh.
"Friends, huh? Is that how friends greet each other - by trying to kill you?"
"Yeah, we were like that... until-" Fizz paused.
"What happened?" Roco asked.
"Nah, I don't want to talk about it. Let's talk about something else," Fizz said, sipping his coffee.
"Alright, understandable. Then tell me about your Sin. I've been curious about it," Kichu asked.
"Okay, what do you want to know?"
"Everything."
"Yeah, mine's a class two Sin called-whatever, it gives me super speed, blah blah blah." Fizz waved it off, clearly uninterested.
"When you rescued us, was that your Sin's full potential?" Kichu asked. "You seemed completely exhausted afterward. Why is that?"
Fizz went quiet for a moment.
"I was nine when I got my Sin. I was so happy because I thought I could become a hero-a hero who saves everyone. But..." he stopped and finished his coffee.
"Man, I wish we had some booze," Fizz said with a short laugh.
"The problem with my Sin is the speed itself. If I use it beyond a certain point, my body starts to break apart. Back then, I couldn't even go half as fast as I can now. When I met Hinko, he taught me soul-sensing-so I could use my soul as a shield. I'm still learning that," he explained.
"How far can you go now?" Roco asked.
"The farthest I've gone is eighty percent. I could go beyond that, but I have no idea what would happen."
"How much were you using when you saved us?" Kichu asked.
"Sixty-five."
"Damn... that's a huge difference!" Roco said.
"Did you ever figure out a way to protect yourself?" Kichu asked.
"Nope. But I've been training for years now. I can say I've improved," Fizz replied.
"Isn't there any tech or device that could help you?" Kichu asked.
"My Sin at eighty percent moves at one and a half times the speed of light. There's no physical object that can keep up with that. Sometimes, I wonder about this world-this power defies every law of physics," Fizz said, chuckling.
"Yeah, I passed that arc. I don't know what kind of sci-fi world this even is," Kichu muttered, slumping into a chair.
"Why's your Sin class two, though? It could easily be class one," Roco said.
"You don't know much about Sins, do you?" Fizz asked, smirking.
Roco frowned. "Did you ever see a Devil?"
"No. I wish I did," Roco said.
"Haha... you don't know shit. I've encountered two of them. With all my speed, I could only escape," Fizz said.
