Star's foot set back on faction soil for the first time in 365.25 days, and he immediately felt better, a tug at his chest pulling him closer towards the Recruitment Office.
As much as star wanted to run towards the building, they also wanted to take in the Isle and how it had changed since he'd left.
"Acho! Good to see you back friend!" A voice called, causing Acho to spin around eagerly.
"Will!" Acho beamed, shaking hands with the Nightingale, "Or should I say Captain now?"
"I'll always be Will to you, Scott's been stressing for the past few days about whether or not you'd make it back," Will gave Acho a quick hug, "He officially became a Heron but long after you left by the way."
"Yeah I guessed Father would have rushed to force him in to make sure the Denholm name would continue, did he get other options?" Acho started walking beside Will.
"Nightingale and Kestrel were his other offers and between us, he wanted nothing more than to join the Kestrels," Will sighed, leading the way towards the Recruitment Office.
"I hope I'm not too late?" Acho spoke from the doors of the main building, watching heads spin to see him, some faces he recognised, some he did not.
"Acho Denholm, just in time! Come, come!" The Recruitment Officer ushered star forward, "I do happen to have a book for you as the representatives have been waiting for you to return from your adventures upon the waves. Will you be a family oriented Nightingale, focused on adventure and friendship? Or is a Heron more to your taste, with the history and legacy?"
A few pirates noticed Cleo sneak out of the building, her location of intent unknown but they all seemed to know better than to follow her.
Acho stood star's ground firmly, "With no disrespect to the new Herons, I will never join them, I choose Nightingales."
"I did think that would be the case, here is your sloop and your atlas, Acho Denholm," The Recruitment Officer handed off the items.
"Acho Nightingale, I am not a Denholm anymore," Acho corrected.
"Moonlight?"
"Sunshine?" Acho turned on star's heel to end up face to face with his brother.
"Acho!" Scott threw himself at Acho and when the two collided, all the candles extinguished and re-lit spontaneously.
"Sun and Moon reunited again," An unrecognizable voice spoke from the air.
"Sun God?" One of the new Herons, one with an orange sash, exclaimed with great awe.
