Mystery Man (Damon x Reader)

Dear diary,

Sorry I stopped so abruptly last night, Jeremy cane in. Last night was a whirl: Jeremy and I feel asleep in each other's arms, in my bed. This morning, I woke up to Damon in my bathroom; looking sexy as usual, he spoke: 'hello pumpkin.'
I don't know what to think of Damon, we had a make out session until Jer interrupted but he's so reckless, unlike Stefan. Stefan is kind, caring, gentle but Damon is fearless, passionate and so...hot. I'm not saying Stefan isn't hot but Damon is a whole other damn level.

'Hey Y/N, you ready?' Jeremy asked, waiting at your bedroom door.

'Yeah I'm coming.'

'Woah you look good sis,' Jeremy said as you caught his eye.

You admit, you do look hot.

You strutted over to your car opening the back door for Jeremy whilst making sure Elena had everything she needed for school: a tote bag, books, pens and text books. Elena wore a dark tank top with blue jeans: the complete opposite of you; you wore a stunning red dress, tight but not too short.

'Shit I left my keys in the house,' you say to your siblings and step out the car to find your keys.

Step by step, you slowly stride up to your doorway and pull down the brass handle. You go to the kitchen counter but as you are about to grab your keys, you feel a breeze sweep past behind you.

Spinning round you notice Elena, 'hey sis, I was just getting my keys, you can go back to the car now,' you turn back around and grab your keys  'I..' you go to speak again but she's gone; she must have gone back to the car.

Thinking nothing of it, you walk out the door; this time with your keys; and start the engine of your car.

All day through school, you haven't seen Stefan. Not even once. You think he might be avoiding you but you haven't had any classes together, yet. Although Stefan worries you, you can't stop thinking about Damon. Damon. You feel bad for hooking up with him one day after your break up fight with Stefan, his brother?! You start to wonder if Damon had actually told Stefan about what happened, was this why he's avoiding you?

Elena practically ignores you in the hallway when you walk past her on your way to chemistry but you're too concentrated on seeing Stefan, you take no notice. Pausing in the doorway you see him, staring up at you with disappointment in his eyes. Becoming uncomfortable, he looks down after smiling and focuses on his work. You can tell he's heartbroken but he doesn't seem to be mad, just upset. This believes you to think that he doesn't know about Damon.

[after school]

As you lay in your bed, you leave your window open whilst doing your homework waiting for your mystery man. Waiting, you gase into the darkness outside. Birds flew by with food for their nest and the trees swayed with the breeze calming anyone below. Damon comes in light lighting, his vampire skills are so hot.

'Hey,' he greets you.

'Hey.'

He casually walks over to your bed where you lay and sits beside you. A few awkward seconds later, he leans in to kiss you but you lean back.

'Look Damon just really like you, it's just...just that...well...Stefan. What are we going to do about Stefan, I broke up with him because he was a you know,'

'Vampire?' He says finishing your sentence, angrily.

'Yeah, and I know you are too and I'm fine with it now but what is Stefan going to say when he finds out we're dating?! Oh- I mean um...'

'So we're dating now are we?' Damon replies, in a cheeky mood.

'I didn't mean that it's juts that, what is he going to say when he finds out that we kissed, and that we will...carry on...'

'Pumpkin, Stefan is Stefan and you are you, you have different opinions and different lives. You do what you want to do, it's not up to Stefan to persuade or choose for you. Plus, I think you're right, I think he does have a little crush on Elena.'

'Yes I knew it! I knew he had a thing for her.'

You both take a moment of silence.

'Ok Damon, I want you, not Stefan. I don't love Stefan.'

'As your wish.'

He leans in passionately to kiss you, your lips softly touch and your tongue glides onto his.

Smiling, you suggest, 'I think you should stay tonight.'

'Of course pumpkin, whatever you say.'

You spend all night in his arms, resting your head on his shoulder. You feel safe with him, as if you need his presence, you need him.

[the morning; 6am]

*Ding-dong, someone is at your door*

In the morning, you wake up in the same position as last night but to a doorbell. Damon looks down on you as you look up and kissed you on the lips. Climbing out of bed, you grab a cardigan and go downstairs. As you unlock the door you wonder who it could be,

'Stefan? What are you doing here?'

'Hey Y/N, I wanted to apologise for these few days, I know it's your choice and if you forbid what to be with a, you know, vampire then that's your choice and i respect that. I'm so sorry for ignoring you at school, I hope we can still be friends and still-'

Shirtless, Damon walks down the stairs with his belt undone asking who was at the door.

'Who was at the door?' Shocked he says, 'oh uh sorry, I'll just go back upstairs shall I?'

'No Damon, we have to tell him, we have to.'

Damon stand by you awkwardly smiling.

'Whats going on?' Stefan asks.

'Well...' you begin.

'I came to Y/N's support the other day when she was looking for comfort and I slept over last night, that's it goodbye,' Damon interrupts and tried to shut the door.

'What is actually happening Damon,' Stefan pushed the door back.

'*sigh* Y/N and I made out for...a while yesterday morning and yet again last night, I then slept over that's it, nothing else happened just promise brother.'

You stood there embarrassed and in silence.

'Wait so you made out with my brother? Damon? Was all the crap about vampires bullshit? Damon is a killer, I drink animal blood, are you saying that you don't love me Y/N?'

'Stefan I'm so sorry.'

'No, I cannot believe I came here to apologise. Go shag, you deserve each other.' Stefan storms of, slamming the door.

'Well that went well,' Damon says as you look at him, judgemental.
