All day, the man had stayed in bed, refusing to eat.

He didn't know the details of what had happened. But he knew something. And he hated what he knew.

"Hey, I'm guessing you remember something, and by that scowl look on your face, it isn't good. You wanna tell me about it?"

Jungwon stares at Aera as she casually sits at the end of his hospital bed, causing Jungwon to automatically pull his legs back into a cross legged position. Jungwon watches as she sits there with an adorable smile, her cheeks puffed while waiting for him to explain.

"Why would I tell you?"

"You brat just tell me. Not like you're gonna tell anyone here and I'm not gonna say anything." Aera says, tilting her head at the boy.

Jungwon stares at the girl that looks around his age, contemplating if he should tell her or not. "I kept asking where my parents were, and I've figured out, something must've happened to them too. But when I try to learn the details, no one will help."

He watches as Aera's hands flies to her mouth in surprise. "I'm so.." the girl trials off but then frowns. "Weren't they in the accident with you?"

"What?"

Aera's eyes widen. "I wasn't supposed to say that was I.." Jungwon raises a brow. "You know what happened to them? And to me?" Aera was about to get up and walk away but is stopped when Jungwon grabs her wrists, pulling her towards him.

Aera's eyes widen and she pulls back, making the boy fall back on top of her. This results in Aera laying on the bed while Jungwon holds her wrist, his body hovering over her as his other hand holds her up.

"Tell me."

Aera turns to look away at the weird position. "Well.. I'm not sure, but while you were sleeping I heard people say that it's sad that it was your birthday when you crashed the car.. and that your parents didn't make it.."

Jungwon had let go of her wrists, feeling his hands slightly tremble as he moved back to sit down. "What?"

Aera slowly sits up, pulling down her shirt that slightly lifted up during the interaction. "Look I'm not sure.. but it's what I've heard. I'm not sure if it was about you, or."

"But it was my birthday. They told me thats when it happened. They had to have been talking about me." The man starts to get mad as he stands up from his bed, walking towards the nurses.

"What happened?"

They didn't know what to tell him. Aera had watched as he constantly asked what had happened. "Is it true? Did I crash the car? Did I kill them?"

Even though they never answered, he knew there was no more misunderstanding.

They watched his hands tremble and his back hit the wall, his legs giving up on him as he slid down. He pulled his knees to his chest as he had started to sob heavily.
