Is anyone even reading this ??
It's been two weeks.
The killer still hasn't been caught.
"Jungwon.... I think I should return now."
The boy raises a brow at the girl as he eats his lunch. "Has he been caught?" The boy asks, eating a spoonful of rice. "No... but-."
"Then stay."
The girl tilts her head at the man in front of her who silently ate. "Yeah but at this point I should be paying to stay here. I've used your utilities for two weeks already."
"And?"
The girl frowns even more. 'Who is this man?'
"Well then at least give me an amount I can pay you back for my usage? If not I'll have to go back, I can't keep burdening you lik-."
"Are you not terrified, Aera?"
The man finally looks up at the woman in front of him, watching as her brows continued to furrow in confusion. "If I'm being completely honest, I'm terrified to leave you there. What if the day that happens he comes and stalks you next. So sorry to say this but other than you're neighbour you're the only young woman there. Your roommates out of town as well."
"Yeah but-."
"And not to mention you're beautiful as well. What am I supposed to do? It's like serving you on a silver platter."
Jungwon never caught the way the girl became red, too busy worrying about what would happen to her if left alone. "If you feel bad just remember that I'm the one who's scared. I'm not doing you a favour just because, I'm doing it because I don't want you to get hurt, no amount of.. what'd you say? Utility usage? No amount of utility usage would consume that fear to the point where I'd send you back."
'God damn jungwon what are you on about? Stop saying such words.'
The boy finally took notice of the girls expression, her cheeks rosy as she sat there silently. "Are you okay?" The boy frowns, standing up to lean over the table. He presses the back of his hand against her forehead, then to her cheeks.
"Are you hot? It doesn't seem like a fever but your cheeks are red."
Aera was sure she was about to pass out from embarrassment soon.
The boy quickly stood up to went to his medicine cabinet, looking through the medical equipment.
"W-what are you doing?" The girl asks, leaning over to watch him. Soon enough the boy comes back with a thermometer. "Oh- I don't feel sick I don't have a fever-."
The boy moves the girls hair behind her ears gently, making sure there were no loose strands in front of her ear before pressing the thermometer in.
"No fever." He frowns, looking down at the machine.
