She did deserve it. She completely deserved it.

The principal was sitting across from me staring at me blankly, "You do realise what you have done can get you suspended. Even worse, expelled." Mrs. Winchester stated. I sigh as I watch her pick up the phone and I'm guessing dial in my mom's phone number, "Hello Mary-Lou! How are you doing?" The principal asks in her fake jolly tone.

While she talks to my mom why don't I run you down why exactly I could potentially be getting expelled.

It was the break between 2nd period and 3rd, I had been just moving away from my locker heading to my history class when I overheard a girl named Rosie Taylor talking shit about another girl in our grade. Normally I would just walk straight past acting like I heard nothing, but recently I've just been acting off so instead of walking past her I walked straight to her.

I won't go into exact detail as it might get a little gruesome but let's just say she might not be able to use her right hand for a little while. I didn't mean to break her wrist it just happened.

Recently my 3 brothers, Nick, Matt and Chris had moved to L.A leaving me here in Boston with my parents, us 4 were very close and them leaving just made me start playing up and giving more attitude. I have no idea why I started acting this way, I just did. I get that's not the best excuse for breaking a girls wrist but it's honestly the truth.

Back to the present, Principal Winchester had just gotten off the phone with my mom, "Your mom will be here soon, when she arrives me and her are going to have a conversation and then you can go home." She says looking me dead in the eye. I'm confused, she didn't yell, she didn't expel or suspend me, she just told me to wait for my mom to get here? I shrug it off and sink back into my chair picking at my nails and bouncing my leg while I wait for my mom.

Soon enough my mom walked into the office, Mrs. Winchester shooed me out to talk to my mom in private so I waited in the so called "lobby". After a while my mom comes out, "come on sweetie, let's go home." She heads out the door as I tail behind her. Once again I'm confused she didn't yell, she didn't ground me, she just told me we're going home? I walk back to the car and sit in the backseat so I don't have to feel awkward sitting in silence with my mom right beside me. We don't talk for the whole ride home, actually we don't even talk for the rest of the night.

That night, I just was lying on my bed bored out of my mind when my phone buzzed, someone was calling me. I sit up and get my phone to see who it was, the caller Id bought a smile to my face, it was Matt! I pick up and his face pops onto my screen, "hey mira," he says softly, from what I can see I think he's in there lounge room. "Hey Matt, I'm guessing mom told you what happened today?" I ask him, "yeah she did. Jeez mira, you broke her wrist? She must've been saying some really cruel shit to make you do that." He says almost calmly like it's not that big of a deal I actually broke a girls wrist today. "You're not like... angry?" I ask him, "no Amira, that's mom and dads job to be angry, I'm kind of surprised, when Chris found out he tried to do a reenactment of it on me," he says the last bit with a chuckle. I smile at him through the screen and soon enough that topic is long forgotten. The night drags on and soon enough we both hang up and I get ready for bed. "She totally deserved it." I whisper before falling asleep.
