I had returned to my castle gladly without any more interruption. As I proceeded through the door, I think the demons could see that my walk had helped clear my thoughts. I called Dameon and Arrisgoth to me. They came without hesitation, of course.
"Dameon you will stay by the throne and divert any seeking me." I commanded, "Arrisgoth bring Talyah to my quarters and no one else."
"Yes my lord." they both replied in unison and went to carry out my orders.
I went to my quarters to fetch my talismans. First was my mask of fear, Torment, it looked a kin to my son yet darker if you could believe it. Second was my lesser known power, my shield of faith, Testament, it bore my sign upon its face and it is only as strong as its wielder's faith in it. Talyah entered the room timidly.
"Come forth." my voice boomed, reverbing throughout the room. She complied with my demand, "I have decided you must see your 'fans', prepare yourself we head out soon."
"You intend to cast me to the fray? Why? Have I wronged you?" She asked, shocked.
I replied calmly, "Not at all, I will be there to ensure your safety. I just thought that if you wish to be heavens hero you've got to do something about this problem. Right?"
She was relieved, too relieved, "Your right I will do whatever I can to help."
"Just don't forget my promise. I will not save you from a hoard of angels and demons." I reminded. That comment brought her back to the right level of fear.
We got to the wall, the sight was horrid. Demons gnashing, angels thrashing, truly the worst heaven has to offer. We saw seven Raphaels holding back the horde and a wall of light assisting. We flew over to christopher. With him was Theodore holding his illusions.
"And you were worried they would get in the way." I mocked.
Christopher was shocked to see me, and even more so to see Talyah. "They aren't, but you're about to!" he said angrily as usual, "Why did you bring her, here of all places?"
I laughed, "Oh you didn't hear? She wants to be the hero of heaven. I thought it's time to have her attempt at hero work."
He laughed, but then sobered up when he found out I wasn't joking. "She can try if she'd like, but she'll be torn apart."
"Here we all figured you were gonna break stella's heart and make this angel queen when you decided to keep her." Lucifer jested from behind me, "You know if dark could be with light I would've taken that demon of lust cycles ago."
I commented, "But you're not light, you're..."
"Light enough to still be an angel that's not wedding with a demon." Christopher interrupted.
I glared at Christopher but no amount of stares would change his mind. I could see Alexander with his scythe, Memento Mori, he seemed to hold them sort of at bay by just holding it, but the aid of my demon lords certainly was working.
"Well 'Hero of Heaven', what will you do with this situation?" I asked, hoping she would choose the right thing.
She flew over to the incursion, foolishly, and proceeded to tell the souls, "You are forgiven if you choose to go back to your residence. If not, you will be destroyed and there is nothing I can do about it."
Her words were right but, her chosen place of delivery was foolish. A demon charged her but before I could pull my blade she, SHOT HIM!? After her arrow struck he was encased in an orb, incapable of anything. The demons and angels seemed shocked at the speed of this angel.
