One cycle has gone by since the incident. No more issues of that caliber, in fact I got a report of a decline in attacks on the wall in general. I was pleased by the news but I couldn't shake the feeling that something big was coming. As I sat on my throne pondering this feeling, Talyah walked in requesting a conference.
"Of course." I replied, "Leave us Stella." a shadow moved from behind the throne and went out the door. I asked, "And what do you wish 'Hero of Heaven'?"
"I was wondering if you have any news of any further revolutions." she claimed, but I knew she wanted something else. If she wanted reports, she has demons for that.
"Why would you ask me?" I replied, "You have demons who collect that information for you. Unless they're not doing their jobs."
She shook her head, "No, no, they are doing their jobs very well."
"Then why come to me with such a silly question?" I pried, "They are doing their work, and you are attempting to hide your intentions from me."
"I was also curious about these rumors." she finally stated.
I laughed, "Oh no, not you too. If you are referring to the rumors of you being my queen, pay it no heed."
"I was more referring to the rumors of an incoming wedding." she informed, "Between you and me. I'm sure this is the first you've heard of it."
"It is the first I've heard of this but, even so it should not trouble you. Some demons make their wishes into rumor, in hopes it will become truth." I commented.
"It's not just demons, angels too." she added, "I had sent some demons into the light to learn what they could, and angels speak of it as well."
Well, that explains why Stella has been clingy lately. I commanded, "Go and send one of your demons to see if Christopher knows of this." if he gets wind of this, he may do something regrettable.
"DRACONIS! I'M GONNA TEAR YOUR SPIRIT TO PIECES!" Christopher bellowed through my great hall.
"I think he knows." Talyah jested.
The doors to the throne room flew open to reveal the angel of light standing there, followed by my angry demon lords.
"I thought you'd learned not to raise your voice to me?" I joked while waving away my demons, "What do you want boy?"
"What do I want!? You insufferable annoyance!" a usual insult, "I've heard of your plans!"
"I have no plans that you would be against." I stated calmly, "Now, calm down before you lose your soul." I pointed to the daggers, swords and axes behind him, "I can only control their temper for so long." he had managed to calm himself and the demons just disappeared. "Now what plans?"
He replied, "Your plans to wed this angel. Even though I reject her, she is still an angel, and you will not mix dark and light."
"I had actually had no plans for marrying this angel but, if it makes you angry I might." I retorted.
Both him and Talyah looked at me in shock. Neither could believe what I had said. I could just feel Stella's whip lashing me, glad she didn't hear that. I was curious to see how he would react, if he would choose to do the right thing and stop questioning me.
He was angrier than ever, "I will not accept this, my father will not accept this."
"Ooh, do tell him, I would so love to hear what he thinks of this joke." I jested, "But, really, I have no plans to marry this angel, it is just a rumor. Go in peace my nephew."
