As I stood there looking across the battlefield at the army of the evil, I couldn't help but wonder, what brought us to this? What happened to our kingdom? It was going towards peace and now, there is only war.
The barrier held back the crowd but I knew it wouldn't hold for long. I ordered all of the lords of sin, including Satani, to protect the perimeter. Gabriel ordered his ten commandments to support them.
"We need a plan." Gabriel sighed, "Brother, this is usually where you have the most to say. What do we do now?"
"I don't know." I replied, shaking, "I was so tangled up in the moment that I had forgotten to ensure that there was a plan b."
Gabriel leaned in close and whispered. "It may be time for another one, this kingdom just may be beyond repair."
"I do not feel like resetting again." I replied, "I've grown weary of erasing what we don't like. It's Time we take responsibility for our souls."
"My lords, what if we erase the thought of rioting from their minds." Lucifer suggested.
"As great as that sounds there is no reassurance of stopping future uprisings." Alexander noted, "It would be more beneficial to destroy some of the rebels to reassure dominance."
"And then they will rebel against us for it, nice idea." I stated, "It would hinder our efforts to martyr any of them."
"Can't we imprison them all?" Christopher asked.
"That's all of heaven, we don't have the capacity for that in both prisons combined." Lucifer exclaimed. I could hear as the barrier broke outside.
As the arguing went on, I noticed Talyah disappeared. I went to look out the window and saw the battle, we had lost four blessed lords and three of my lords of sin. As I was watching the horde I saw as they took more and more down, our numbers dwindled. I watched Alistair and Markus fall. Three more blessed lords fell and then stella, poor soul. I could bear to watch no longer and as I was going to look away, I saw Clara and two blessed lords get overrun. I was torn, all that remained was one blessed lord of empathy, Satani and my three generals.
I turned away to inform the table when I heard Talyah outside, "Lower your weapons and repent. I will ensure the gods will be merciful. If you continue, I'm sure-" before she could finish, I saw as she was surrounded by angels and demons.
I couldn't think, for once in my entire existence, I was afraid. I couldn't believe her insolence, thinking that they would listen. I rushed to the front gate and took true form, a dark armored colossal soul with enormous black and red crystal wings. As I passed my generals, I granted them my blessing. Dameon's blade turned into a full longsword of destruction. Raphaels' maul turned into an enormous hammer of destruction. Finally, Arrisgoth's stiletto multiplied into dozens of claws of destruction.
I tore through the masses destroying all in my path until I reached Talyah. Once I reached her I let loose a blast of destructive power, destroying every soul around us. I caught Talyah as she fell and held her close. On our way back to the castle I heard her utter before she passed out, "Save them... No more destruction."
I handed her to Christopher so he could heal her and went back out to the fray. I took my sword and bashed it against my shield, sending a blast of destruction across heaven, destroying the spirits and aura of every soul in heaven. I then used my faith to make a sarcophagus with my shield to hold every soul, using my own spirit as material. When Gabriel came out and saw what I did he recreated my spirit.
"Brother? What happened?" He asked, "where did all the souls go?"
I responded by pointing to the casket. I walked past him and towards the others and claimed, "These are the souls of the traitors, I propose we combine all of the ideas. Gabriel and I will create another plane to place these souls and we shall erase their memories entirely. Those who live a life of destructive nature will be erased and those who do not will be brought back for a chance at redemption. Any objections?"
"What if they all live a life of destruction?" Christopher asked.
I laughed, "That's where your punishment comes in play. I tire of dealing with your insolence and self-righteousness, once the souls have established enough knowledge to know good from bad you will go down and suffer with them. Your suffering will be different, you will be a martyr, tortured to show them how they ought to act."
"WHAT!?" Christopher screamed, "Why am I being punished? Father this isn't fair, tell him he can't!"
Gabriel chuckled, "Son you have been assaulting your uncle for cycles and committing crimes against him. He has only held back on you for my benefit, but I knew one day he would lose his temper with you. I'm sorry my only son, this is what you deserve."
These words hit hard for Christopher, to think his father has even given up on him. He stumbled backwards, only to run into Satani. Satani grabbed him and looked at me, I nodded and he took Christopher away. I looked to what was left of our forces, one angel and my demon generals.
I looked to my brother and asked, "Well brother, shall we begin creating?"
"Yeah, I'm ready when you are." He replied, "By the way, I'm sorry."
I was confused, "for what?"
"Clara." He replied solemnly, "I knew how close you two were. She was a good soul, although envious she couldn't help caring for others. When this is over we can attempt to bring her back."
I lowered my head. It takes a lot of concentration and power to bring one specific soul back, even then, to bring back the memories is harder. "Let's wait until we sort out these traitors." I responded, "I don't want to deal with the chance of failure at the moment."
He nodded and we started creating. A cell larger than any other, we called it, Hell.
