Chapter 1 - The Dance of Chaos

As the day turns to night, the darkness envelops the sky above the mortal world. Stars shine brightly, looking over the humans with grace, and the full moon stands above them all in its natural crimson beauty. The creatures on land walk around and finish another day, unaware of the disaster that love will bring upon their puny lives. They do not realize that tonight will be the last time that they will sleep peacefully. As chaos like never before will engulf their reality and reshape their fate.

However, let us turn back the hands of time. To earlier that fateful day; when mortals and spirits joined together. A morning that seemed like every other, but with a major difference that changed history forever. She had her heart set on shaping her destiny... No matter the cost.

It all begins at Estella University, a prestigious school where only some of the best in the country can get in. Countless students are walking around and murmuring about some nonsense or other, mostly related to school and whatever the newest trend is. Among them, one student stuck out.

"Selene! Did you hear?! There's going to be a lunar eclipse tonight! Isn't that exciting?!"

"Absolutely. A lunar eclipse is just wonderful. Even if just for a moment, the moon joins the darkness and then emerges again in its full glory. I hear we might even see a blood moon if the alignment is just right."

"Oh! That would be so awesome!"

The young woman with a passion for the moon, Selene, chuckled at her friend's excitement.

"Indeed. I'm sure it will be quite the spectacle."

Selene was a beautiful young lady with long hair as black as the night itself and eyes blue like the depths of the sea. Her favorite outfit, which she currently wears, is a long deep ocean blue dress with a pocket and a long-sleeved dark purple shirt under it. When it came to accessories, she had glasses matching her dress, a bracelet showing the cycles of the moon, and a moonstone necklace she held very dear.

"Tonight is going to be special. I can feel it~"

Selene's voice was wonderfully soothing to the ear. It was mature, composed, and smooth. So much so that it was enchanting to hear her talk.

"So we are meeting tonight for sure, right?!"

"Of course, the club wouldn't miss a lunar eclipse for anything."

"Woohoo! This is going to be the best day ever!"

Selene chuckled once more, letting her energetic friend release her excitement.

Her friend was Beatrice, or Betty for short, and she was a very energetic young woman. She had her golden blonde hair in two twin tails that reached her shoulders and she had the most stunning emerald green eyes that complimented her cute face. Today she wore a short skirt with a shirt depicting a yellow eyed robot with sharp claws. In addition, she wore sneakers with blue lighting on them that matched her energy.

The two girls have been friends since they started at Estella University three years ago. Together, they've gotten through the tough years of school and even formed a club together despite their difference in personality.

"Ah! I'm gonna be late to my biology class again! I'll see you later, Selene! Take care!"

Beatrice dashed towards the doors of the immense building and disappeared between the crowds of walking students. She didn't even let her friend get a word in.

"See you later Betty!"

The young night-haired lady walked inside the school as well without a care in the world. She slowly walked towards her locker and saw a group of students that caught her attention. Well, more specifically, he caught her attention.
