Chapter 2 - Fate University - Part 2

During the following weeks after accepting their invitations, Selene and Haruki would visit one another to go shopping. She was so excited about doing stuff with her beloved that she had prepared her suitcases from day one. She was just helping him choose clothes that she thought looked good, which was mostly everything they tried. She also enjoyed their time together, which is what's important.

Jack chilled at his place while occasionally skateboarding in the neighborhood or practicing the guitar. He knew exactly what he would bring... his entire closet.  It all fit into two travel bags plus his guitar and skateboard cases.

Eris technically didn't have anything to pack, so he took a break from spreading chaos for the time being. He began looking through Jeremy's stuff since he wasn't going to use them anymore. He became interested in the stuff he saw in Selene's room when they first met too. He was quite curious about something called... anime. He spent the entire time on the internet like a real NEET,  learning about the current world, and he quickly became enamored by it.

"All the possibilities! All the inspiration!" He yelled by himself.

There were videos to watch, people going live to play something called videogames which now piqued his interest as well. Animes and movies caught his eye the most since they contained infinite possibilities! Just the thought of all the mischief he could cause! Everything in them... HE could make reality!

He loved interacting with others online, especially after discovering a bird app where you could post your thoughts. Instigating internet wars became a hobby of his. He enjoyed seeing people bicker back and forth with his "hot takes" or make other people's comments look bad.

When the time arrived, those invited to the prestigious Fate University were ready to go. They were picked up at their homes by the establishment's staff. Selene had a lot of things so they had to call a second car just for her stuff. Michael was sad to see her leave, and she was worried about leaving her mess of an uncle on his own for so long. However, neither showed their sadness, instead, he supported her to go far and beyond. Haruki, Jack, and Eris didn't have as much stuff... in fact, the staff was concerned when they saw a grinning Eris appear with just a regular backpack.

When they finally arrived at the promised land, they were amazed at the sheer size of the school. Veeshine was a massive city, yes, but the university looked like a city inside a city. It was surrounded by beautiful hills that hid the area from the rest of the world.

The main entrance had a golden arch gate with "Welcome to Fate University" written on it like a depiction of heaven's gates. Inside, there were all sorts of buildings of varying heights and architectures. Some of them even looked like a student's abstract art project. They were all colored differently, but most seemed to share a deep but muted shade of blue.

The cars parked by the center of the university to drop them off, which had a beautiful silver fountain with clear water spouting from it. The students were told that their stuff would be taken to their dorm rooms and to simply wait by the fountain for the orientation to officially begin.

Only seven people were present for the orientation. First was Selene, the beautiful young woman who immediately drew the attention of nearby students with her presence. Second was Jack, the cool man who believed in freedom taking in the fresh air of this new land. Third was Eris, the embodiment of chaos itself flipping his hair like a supermodel as he struck a pose for the crowd of onlookers. Fourth was Haruki, the handsome young man with the energy of the sun who people were already eyeing... to someone's displeasure. Fifth was Celeste, much to everyone's surprise, who looked relieved to see people she recognized in this new environment. Sixth was a tall Hispanic man with black hair, brown eyes, and a bit of a belly. He wore jeans and a blue long-sleeved shirt. He looked super friendly and huggable to the point one could confuse him for a big teddy bear. Seventh was a young woman with dirty blonde hair and brown eyes wearing a green tracksuit with pink accents and a little bear pin. She was a bit shy around everyone else except the person she was hiding behind, the big human plushie.
