The police station
Liam Barkley-Examination Specialist
The officers are watching Mike and Jason in the interrogation room
Detective Little is talking to Dr. Carnes about Jason
Austin Thomas pays a visit to his brother's house

"Well, Doc, what do you think of Jason's or the other Jason's actions?"
(Doctor Carnes is a 5'5 female, with hazel eyes and red hair. She wore glasses with an outer golden frame. She looked similar to Lily Stephens.)
"What I believe is going on is Jason has MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder). It seems like he only has his primary personality and one other alter ego. The other personality goes by the name of Jason as well because he is trying to stay hidden. That last episode we all witnessed was the real Jason coming out because of the other Jason not being able to control his anger. Then once the real Jason started to crumble under all the pressure, the other Jason was able to slip back into control once again. I will be able to find out more once I have my one-on-one with him."
"I'm getting too old for this shit. Do you know what could have caused his MPD? This shit does not just happen out of the blue!"
"Like I said, I will find out more when....."
"Sir?"
"What is it!?"
"There is an Austin Thomas who is here to see you and Mike Thomas, his brother."
The Detective sighed. "More shit to deal with. Take his ass to my office and wait there with him."
"Yes, sir!"
Detective Little went to his office to speak with Austin.
"Mr. Thomas, I am kinda in the middle of solving a potential murder case here. What is it?"
"Oh, Detective, I went to my brother's house to grab a few things of mine and I found two things that might be of interest to you and this case."
"What might that be?"
Austin took out a Ziploc bag that held the uncrumpled paper and Lily's pearls in it.
"I found the note in a trash can in the house and the pearls I found in his bedroom."
"And, what were you doing in his bedroom?"
"As I said before, I was picking up a few things of mine, like clothes."
The Detective took the bag from Austin and he put on gloves to examine the note.
The note said this: "I had a great time with you for as long as I can remember, but I have become sick with guilt. I would like to talk more about this with you in person. I'll meet you at your house later in the night. See you soon- Love Lily xoxoxo"
After reading that the Detective called in one of his officers to take the bag to the examination room.
"Tell the examiner to search it thoroughly and to see if the fingerprints of the ones we booked today are the same as the ones on the note. After that, give me the results and take the bag to the Doc."
"Yes, sir!"
Austin looked concerned
"Now are you going to tell me what you were doing in Mike's house or are you going to keep lying?"
Austin began to smirk
"Okay, Detective, you got me. I was looking for evidence to prove he and Lily were having an affair. And I was right."
"You think he did something to Lily? If you think...."
"I'll tell you what I think Detective, my brother, and Jason's wife were having an affair and something went wrong. I don't know for sure what it was, but something happened."
"Tell me about this novel that your boss, Mike, was talking about. What was it called again? The..."
"The Mirror."
"Yes. Tell me about it."
"What do you want to know?"
"Is Jason trying to pin a....."
"Excuse me, sir?"
"Damn it! What is it now?!"
"The results are back sir and the Doc asked for you as well."
"Take Austin into the other interrogation room and watch his ass."
"Wait... what? Why am I being held? I did not do anything."
"I still have some questions for you, so until I am ready to let you go, your ass is staying right the fuck here."
Detective Little left his office and went straight to the examination room.
"Well Little 'man', nice of you to finally make it here."
"Barkely, you make that joke one more time, I'll stuff your head into that damn test tube you play with so much."
"Play nice, guys", said Doctor Carnes.
"So Detective and Doctor, I tested the paper and pearls for fingerprints and with the fingerprints from Jason Stephens and Mike Thomas; the results said Mike's fingerprints were on the pearls, and the extra fingerprints on the pearls might belong to Lily because the fingerprints did not match Mike's or Jason's. Also, the fingerprint on the note does not belong to Jason or Mike. The fingerprint on the note most likely belongs to this Austin character. The videos you made me watch along with the photos I had to analyze, Detective, I found that Lily was wearing the pearls in one of the sex videos. It was dated a week prior to Lily's disappearance."
"What do you make of the note, Barkley?", said the Detective.
"Well, I can say that the note was forged by Austin, but I would need to have a fingerprint from him to see if it matches the one on the paper to prove it, of course."
"So, we have an affair, MPD, sex videos and pictures, break-up notes, fingerprints from both suspects and most likely a third suspect. All that and we still need more proof. That is just fucking outstanding!"
The Detective sighs with frustration
"I have to take a look at both of the suspects' houses, so Doctors, you will wait until I get back to proceed with the evidence and investigation."
"Can I get my one-on-one with Jason, like you said?"
"No! It is too dangerous for you to be there by yourself. You better not go in there when I am not here! Copy, Carnes?"
"You act like the other fucking officers at this fucking station are incapable of overseeing my one-on-one and making sure that I am well-kept safe. I am also a fucking professional. I can handle whatever I encounter, Little man!"
"Ooooh, she called you little man! Are you going to stuff her head into a test tube?"
The Detective stared at the Doctor with such ferocity and said, "The answer is still no, four eyes."
Doctor Barkley said, "Lame ass come back," as he was looking back and forth between the Detective and Doctor and then the Detective looked back sharply at Barkley and Barkley jumped back and said, "Uh.... I have uh.... something... I got shit to do. I'll get to it."
The Detective looked back at Carnes and left the examination room. Little walked back to the interrogation room and pulled the officers who were watching Austin, Mike, and Jason.
"I am going on a lead, while I am gone watch these motherfuckers and DO NOT let Doctor Carnes or that rug-rat of a specialist, Barkley come into either of these interrogation rooms. Also, split up Mike and Jason. Put them in separate interrogation rooms. Copy?"
"Yes sir", the officers said in unison.
The Detective left the police station to dig deeper into the murder investigation. What would he find at both of the suspects' houses? Would he find anything at all?
