Owning your own company is no small feat, especially when you worked dead end jobs at minimum wage in an expensive city for years. Jessi Gray worked as a food delivery driver, an attorney's receptionist, front desk greeter at a hotel, and a taxi driver until finally settling at a local haberdashery/tailor. She had a knack for style, flare, making the smallest of adjustments to a number of garments ranging from wedding gowns, three piece suits, quinceanera dresses, you name it, she could fit you in a suit, dress, blouse, pants, hell even a pair of socks just by looking at you.
At 32-years-old, she took over a local tailor shop after working there for many years. With the previous owner's blessing, she lovingly renamed the business: Jessi's Alterations. Business never slowed down, the same loyal customers stayed after the founder of the once previously, Franco's Fittings, retired. Franco knew his customer base was in good hands with Jessi in charge.
Jessi proudly worked away tirelessly day and night on all sorts of garments, she had the business for six years now, business couldn't have been better. She did so well for herself, receiving tips from customers she saved up more than enough to convert the empty storage space upstairs to living quarters so she could just wander down each morning after waking and start her day.
Business slowed a little, there were still well-tipping rich folks that frequented her shop, keeping the doors open and those women wanting nice dresses buying them up.
Recently, Cobra Kai had plans on opening next door, she was annoyed by the heavy construction that was taking place each day, it never halted her business. Encino was always a bustle with the goings and comings of people and their business, the area Jessi was in with her shop was no different.
One day, she had a rather interesting visitor just minutes before she was about to close.
The bells dinged as the door opened, entering a tall, fit, older, silver haired man. Jessi was stricken, her face flushed as she watched this silver fox look over her suits and men's shirts she had made and placed out for sale. The tall, handsome fox made his way to the cash register area, smiling, his eyes blue like the ocean. She knew exactly who had just wandered into her shop.
"Hello there, I was wondering, do you also create other clothing or alterations besides formalwear?" The man asked, "I also must apologize, you're nearly ready to close."
Jessi took a moment to shake the inappropriate thoughts from her mind, she smiled, "Yes, of course. Anything you want, I can create, or alter. I have no limits. And don't worry about it, I can flip the sign to 'close,' and get you taken care of."
The man smiled, causing her heart to flutter, "You must be Jessi. Franco told me about you, I never thought I'd get the chance to meet you. Silver, Terry Silver," ah, the Terry Silver was in her shop, just as she figured.
He was every bit as handsome as she had heard. She smiled, "Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Silver. I guess I need no introductions since you already know my name," she grinned, grabbing a sketchpad, pencil and iPad, she looked up to the very tall Mr. Silver, "Now then, what would you like for me to create for you?"
Mr. Silver looked over the young woman, eyeing her, with a smirk, "Please, call me Terry. I was wondering if you had a moment to help design a gi, well, several for my students as well as myself? All black, Cobra Kai patch on the sleeve."
Jessi beamed, "Of course! Please," she gestured towards her back office, making themselves comfortable in the plush chairs, she eyed him as he walked in and sat, "If I had to guess," she began, "193 centimeters tall, inseam approximately 95 centimeters, waist approximately 84 centimeters, I can work with that," she was being coy.
