The wedding was planned, the dress was made, the suit had been altered to fit, just one last thing before the wedding could take place: Sekai Taikai. Terry had waited long enough for this dream, he waited longer for a bride, he wanted a wedding more than the tournament, but Jessi insisted on attending the tournament with him and then get married. She wanted enough people to have received the invitations and make their arrangements to attend if they could.
A small, cute chapel, near the edge of the Valley, near the woods, nestled away from the road, that's where their vows would take place. For now, Jessi, Terry, the Cobra Kai students and many Sensei's were in Thailand for the international tournament. Jessi happily grabbed Terry's hand as they toured a beautiful temple.
"Look! Isn't this beautiful?" Jessi beamed, her large eyes taking in the extravagantly adorned statues and walls. Terry smiled, watching her skip around and look at everything, she had never been outside of the US, let alone the few states that she lived in and visited. Terry wanted to travel with her, take her everywhere that he enjoyed, he planned on taking his bride to Japan for a month's stay for their honeymoon.
"I see it, sweetheart," he chuckled, "You're enjoying yourself?"
Jessi skipped back to him, taking his hands in her own, "I am. I'm so happy you brought me, thank you, Terry, so much." He kissed her hard, telling her that he wouldn't dream of coming to the international tournament without her.
They flew into the country a few days early, he wanted the students to adjust to the time difference and so he could take Jessi around the country to take in the sights before he would be occupied for a week's time for the fighting. Karate wasn't really her thing, but Terry didn't care, he just wanted her there with him during Cobra Kai's expected win.
The first couple of days had been rough, Cobra Kai trailed towards the lower end of the top fifteen dojos in the running. Jessi was worried, she could see the frustration on Terry's face when he was getting angry with the teens, she knew he was yelling at them, just from his body language from where she sat in the bleachers.
Sensei Kim was also taking out her frustration on the students. Jessi was worried, she knew how much this tournament meant to Terry and the others, sitting close enough to where she could creep her way down the bleachers she made her way through some officials easily enough and down near the mat where Cobra Kai stood.
"Do you not want this?! Does winning and strength mean nothing to any of you? I should have known, American students are not up to this challenge," Sensei Kim looked down her nose at the kids who stood there, defeated, upset with their placing so far. She finished her beratement and walked away, but not without giving Jessi a polite nod in her direction.
Terry dismissed the students for the intermission that was taking place. He smoothed his hands over his slicked back hair, letting out a huff, and sigh of frustration. Jessi slowly approached his large figure, gently placing her hand on his back, he turned quickly, the frown quickly dissolving into a sweet smile.
"Hey there, sweetheart," he said, taking her hand and walking with her to a back break area.
They sat down in a fairly quiet corner, Terry placed his arm around her shoulders, scooting her close to him, Jessi placed her hand on his thigh, "Are you alright, Terry? I mean, I know it isn't going as well as you hoped but there is still a few days left, there's a chance, right?" She worried her bottom lip between her teeth.
He smiled, gently reaching across his body and caressed her cheek, placing a soft kiss against her lips. "There is still a small chance," he murmured, "I'll be alright, though. Having you here with me is more than enough, you are all I need."
Jessi blushed, turning into him, "That's sweet, babe. I just don't want you to work yourself up, I know you're different when you teach and especially now. Maybe try a different approach with the kids?"
He tilted his head, "What do you propose?"
She shifted slightly, gathering her thoughts before answering him, "They have done so well, they really have, I mean, look at where you're all at, it's great. Lift them up, encourage them, be that pillar of stability. I know you have more of an abrasive take on all of it, try a different way. Sensei Da Eun, Sensei Odell, Sensei Yong Woo... All of them were taught in such extreme conditions and spoken to in extremely abrasive ways, they have all done amazing, don't get me wrong. These kids weren't raised within that, they got in the game later than them, these kids have different backgrounds... Try something different."
Terry mulled over her words, "It's something to consider, my dear, I can certainly try that. It will probably throw them even more off balance than they already are, but I can try." He sighed, tugging Jessi into his side as they sat.
She smiled lovingly at him, "Be positive about it, maybe they'll take it better than the... you know... the yelling." Terry chuckled lightly, gripping the back of her head he pulled her head back, snaking a hand over her cheek and kissed her deeply, tasting her, moaning into her mouth. Jessi whimpered, placing her hands against his chest in protest. She didn't dislike his touches and his tongue invading her mouth, it was the fact that it was so clearly public.
Terry chuckled after parting from her soft lips, caressing her face, "Sweet thing," he murmured, "You taste as sweet as you look."
Jessi's face felt red hot, "Terry," she squeaked. Terry chuckled and sat with his love for the remainder of his break, holding her close to him. He did as she suggested, Terry spoke kindly and uplifted his students. They were taken aback at first, as he figured, but they seemed to bring forth the strength he knew they had within themselves.
Terry was sure to thank Jessi later, thanking her by moaning her name in her ear as he ravished her body. The searing kisses he placed against her bare skin was nearly more than she could take, wrapping herself around him was all he wanted. He was grateful that Jessi could see what his students needed. That hotel room kept the secrets of their skin as their week came to a close and Cobra Kai ended up in fourth place at the very end. For an American dojo, they did incredibly well against the competition, for which, Terry treated Jessi like his queen as he had to credit her for the advice.
Like Bonnie and Clyde, Lucy and Ricky, peanut butter and jelly, Terry and Jessi were an unstoppable team.
