Kirishima hadn't even realized that he had fallen asleep until he woke up in the morning, hearing knocking at his door. He pulled himself up, bleary-eyed his mind foggy.
"What?" He called out too tired to act nice.
Bakugo opened the door and walked in giving him his usual exasperated glare. "Wow. Didn't know you were such a dick when you wake up." Bakugo mused looking down at him.
Kirishima rubbed his eyes. "What's happening? Why are you here?" he was too tired to remember what had happened from the day before.
Bakugo scoffed down at him. "The pink thing sent me to wake you up and tell you to start getting packed for the trip. She also said to bring a bathing suit since there's a lake nearby."
All of the memories from the day before suddenly flowed back into his mind as he processed what he was just told. Kirishima stood up and approached his dresser where he started pulling out clothes for the next few days. Bakugo only scoffed a little bit before leaving.
Kirishima gathered his clothes in a pile before stuffing them into a duffel bag, as well as some swimming shorts. He then made his way to his bathroom where he did his hair and brushed his teeth and then made his way downstairs to the common room where Kaminari, Sero and Ashido were talking. Bakugo on the other hand was looking at his phone with a grim expression on his face, his foot tapping the ground repeatedly. Kirishima could feel a bad aura radiating off of him so instead he turned to Ashido who was helping Sero set up the GPS.
"Dude, I'm so excited for this!" Kaminari practically squealed. "Ashido, you said there's baby goats there, right?" He asked excitedly.
"Yeah." She answered unconsciously, completely focused on the GPS.
Kaminari was bursting at the seams from sheer excitement which only made Kirishima's anticipation rise.
After a while of squealing about the goats, Ashido had finished helping Sero and they all moved outside where Sero's light blue truck was parked. It was an older one, but had five seats, two in the front and three in the back. The seats were a gray leather and an orange speaker was placed up on the dashboard.
Bakugo immediately went for the front seat but Ashido swatted him away and said, "Hey! I need to sit in the front."
Bakugo glared at her. "Why?"
"Cause I need to help Sero with directions." Ashido answered as if it was obvious. Bakugo scoffed and moved to the back where he scrunched himself as close to the window as possible, giving Kirishima and Kaminari plenty of space. Kirishima usually didn't like sitting in the middle since it made him a bit queasy but he wanted to sit by Bakugo so he would have to deal with it.
It was obvious that Ashido and Bakugo were having a rough day so Kaminari and Kirishima remained silent while Sero played Mother Mother on the speaker that connected to his phone. The ride was mostly silent since no one dared break the tension that didn't reelly have areason to be there. An hour or two into the ride though, Kaminari started getting bored and had moved to his phone. He showed Kirishima all sorts of pictures, especially ones that had women in bikini's which he was probably hoping to get him to perk up to, or catch his attention, but it didn't. It wasn't until he was scrolling through Pinterest, as he did when he got tired of videos, that Kirishima perked up. Particularly when he noticed an ad that had a particularly shirtless, tanned and muscular male lifeguard. At this, Kirishima seemed to get louder and Bakugo started giving him suspicious side-eyes, probably wondering what made him all giddy and dreamy-eyed. When Kaminari showed Bakugo, he only tch-ed and turned back to the window, hiding his face as he stared at the empty farmland.
The drive was about three hours long and by the end, Ashido and Sero and lightened up and had gotten into a heated debate about whether or not pizza with pineapple is good or not. The argument didn't end until the car pulled into a long dirt road that led up to an old house.
The house was in a similar fashion to a western style barn. All sorts of American antiques sat on the porch and yard. Horseshoes hung around the doorway and fences reached far into the hilly distance.
Ashido walked the group up to the doorway and rang the old-fashioned bronze doorbell. The house certainly stuck out when contrasted against the cherry blossom tree right next to it.
The door was rather quickly thrown open by an older couple. The elderly woman had a pinkish hue to her skin and had thick curly hair that had streaks of pink in it. The whites of her eyes, like Ashido's, were an inky black and her irises were a shiny shade of gold. She wore an American style quilt with horses and trees all over it over a sweater and jeans. The elderly man next to her was about half a foot shorter than her and had black hair with very few gray streaks. He had serpentine-like eyes and long fingers. He wore a black jacket over some dark blue jeans. The couple most certainly looked like Ashido's grandparents, thats for sure.
Ashido immediately leaped forward and jumped into their open arms. They laughed at their granddaughters excitement and gently patted her back.
"It's so good to see you again!" Ashido exclaimed as she pulled away and took a step back into the doorway.
"It's good to see you too, dear." The woman rasped sweetly, clasping her hands together.
The man looked at the odd group behind her. "And are these the friends you were talking about?"
Before Ashido could introduce them, the older woman ushered them in. "Oh, come in, come in. It must've been a long drive. You all must be exhausted."
The woman walked further into the house, giving the others enough space to walk in. It was a quaint little house, and the walls and floors were made of nothing but wood. A kitchenette sat a short walk away. It was attached to a hallway that led down to a bathroom, a stairway and a bedroom down to Kirishima's left. Another hallway was directly in front of them which led to what was most likely a living room of sorts. To his right was a closet where Sero was taking off his jacket and the woman was putting it up on a hanger.
Instinctively, Kirishima moved over to help the lady. "Here, I can help." He offered, picking up some old, heavy leather jacket that had fallen as she had put a new coat up.
"Oh, thank you, dear." She replied as she backed away to her granddaughters side.
Kirishima took Bakugo's jacket while listening to their conversation. "What a sweet boy, he's too kind. Your grandfather never helps like that." She said spitefully but in a playful manner.
"Yeah. He is pretty nice." Ashido responded sub-consciously.
"Do you like him?" She asked. Kirishima stiffened a little bit.
"No, he's just a friend!" She exclaimed strongly. Kirishima breathed out a sigh of relief. "Besides, he's not . . . interested in women, you know?"
"Ah, I see."
A/N sorry if this chapter is kinda boring or has a lot of grammatical or spelling errors, I spent no time editing, I just really wanted to get to the next chapter.
