CHAPTER 04

I blinked my eyes at the male, Who's infront of me, munching his food while stared at back at me. I can't believe what did he just said to me. I think I heared wrong. In no way, the Mafia boss gonna like me, If something, he'll be plotting a plan to kill me right now. It'll be hilarious, If that Mafia leader likes me for no reason.

"Umm..I think I heared you wrong. Can you repeat it again?" My voice was soft and uncertain.

"You heared me right. I know what's my boss plotting with you in his mind. You're totally his type. And anyone would love to date you. Well, for example, If I stand a chance, I'll also will date you" He said which made my cheeks heat up a little bit.

"You're too cute and too sweet. Your cooking is tasting another level. You like to have your surroundings nice and clean. And in my entire lifetime, I never saw someone talking to us As if, we aren't some bloody Mafias"

I couldn't speak even if I try. Words didn't form within me. I can tell that, My face is all red by now. It's true that I wasn't afraid of them but, Just because of that, They can't be interested towards me right?

He lokked up at me and stop eating. "Why? What's wrong? Why aren't you eating?" He put his fork down and looked at me with concern.

"No it's just that, I never thought, I'd be someone that a Mafia boss will like" I said in disbelief and continue to eat, just so that, I can calm my beating heart.

"Not just my boss, Any guy would like a girl like you. You're just a girlfriend material" He uttered with a coy smile. "Why don't you have any past relationship with anyone before?" He asked, Curiosity evident in his eyes.

"I have a terrible past with my past relationship. After that, I never thought of gerting into one. It's just me and my friend for the rest of my life"

"What If a guy like My boss, Come into your life?

"Be it you or your boss, It's a straight no to anyone. I can't risk my heart facing another heart break"

"Care to share, What happen in your past relationship, That made you hate the whole Gentleman out there?"

His question made me bring back those old memories, Which I ceased away a long time before. The bitter memories which questioned me my worthiness. How that heart break made me into a new person, which I never thought I'd become.

I was lost in my own thoughts that, I didn't notice that Kai's been calling my name for the whole mean time.

"Hey, you ok? You seem to be zoned out for a second. Is everything alright? Sorry If I just over stepped my boundaries" Said in an apologetic manner.

"No no, It's ok. It's just my mind automatically drifted back to my past. Those memories..I don't like to think about them" I said while shaking my head a bit.

"Ok, So from now on, We're not going to talk about anything regarding your past"

With that, He took his empty plate and headed towards the kitchen with me trailing behind. After he helped me washing the dishes and cleaning the table, I heared his phone rininging. He sprint towards the phone As if, It would burst out, when he didn't answer it soon.

His eyes danced in excitement, After reading the name of the caller. He picked up his phone and answered it with a cheered voice.

"Good morning boss! How's your beautiful morning going so far"

He looked at me and smirked when he saw me sitting in the sofa. He joined me in the opposite and kept his phone on the table and turned on the speaker.

My brows furrowed in confusion. Why would he do that?
