When grumpy turns into sunshine

After telling Mark the plan that he thought of, Jaemin run to his office to make two potions, one for Minjae and one for himself. His little brother was already showing signs of being a witch so Jaemin had to make sure that his father and stepmother won't know about it. This way they'll lose their interest in Minjae.

Mark came to the office when Jaemin was done, he brought Minjae and coal with him. This is what Jaemin asked for. Minjae was curious, asking questions but Jaemin knew that he couldn't tell him the truth because his brother wasn't really aware what their father and stepmother were doing. To him they were parents that just didn't spend time with them but he knew that there was something wrong. It'll be best if Minjae acts naturally.

Jaemin called his brother to come closer to him and gave him a potion to drink. This potion will stop all of Minjae's power for 24 hours. With coal Jaemin colored his brother's hair which was already half blue.

He gave the other potion to Mark who had to use it later at the right time. By doing that Jaemin basically gave his life into Mark's hands, he had to trust him.

When they were still in the office they heard horses, they were here. Jaemin huffed, now or never. Minjae looked out the window and when he saw who came he ran out excitedly. The little boy is really gonna get his heart broken today. Mark went after him as it was their plan. He was supposed to be Minjae's shadow, to protect him.

Jaemin looked out the window and saw Jeno, Renjun and Haechan already standing there. He was monitoring the situation but made sure that he wasn't seen. They talked for a little bit and then walked inside. There were around 20 guards but only five went inside. The others were probably made to look for Jaemin on the ranch. Jeno will make some kind of lie about Jaemin whereabouts but ultimately he has to be caught and taken by his father. It was the only way to get rid of them for good.

Jaemin went out of the mansion and walked towards one of the barns. He had to be careful because he couldn't make it obvious that he wanted to get caught. It would be pointless and even more dangerous for everyone involved.

When he got to the barn he hid and looked around. He caught glimpses of some of the guards but none of them walked even close to the barn. Jaemin had to go out, so he got up and run out. After all if you want someone to pay attention to you running is the best.

And, of course, there were already two guards running after him. How unlucky would it be for Jaemin to slip so that they could catch him. So he slipped, on accident of course, and they got him. Jaemin pretended to fight them but the guards were holding him tightly. They were dragging him to the carriage that his father and stepmother came in.

Everything was going how it was supposed to be.

He had to wait for around an hour with two guards sitting next to him and about 6 outside. They bid his hands and legs together and they did it quite well. His wrist were already hurting. Jaemin heard some commotion outside, crying and yelling, until the door of the carriage opened and his father saw him. He seemed surprised but smirked after a few second and told his wife to get inside quietly. He didn't want others to know that he caught him. Now, there is one more thing that Jaemin has to do and the rest is on Mark.

"Finally, at least we have him." His father said and laughed loudly. Jaemin looked at his stepmother who didn't seem all that happy.

"What do you mean we have him? People already know him and he's getting old. Your other son should be a witch also. You don't get it, do you? We've lost huge money because of him."

Jaemin smiled, thankfully he had some kind of cloth over his mouth so they couldn't see. Minjae was safe! The potion must have worked and his father and stepmother were tricked.
