When Taehyung came back he was actually grinning for some odd reason Jungkook couldn’t put a finger to-
He got his answer when Taehyung wrapped his arms around him and pulled him into a hug, “I can’t believe you did this for me-“
Jungkook pulled back and observed him with his confused doe eyes-
“Jimin called-“ Taehyung responded at his look, and his heart clenched tight again- “We… were really close. But then some things happened, and, no matter what I did- I couldn’t reach out.” He put his hands against Jungkook’s nape, eyes raking over his face, fondly, “So thank you.”
Something moved in Jungkook's heart once in again. So quiet, his walls moving to make space for Taehyung.
“It was nothing Taehyung-ah.” Because it wasn’t.

“You’re different from the last time I met you,” Jimin smiled another time, passing his fingers over Taehyung’s long ones, “hence why I was nervous to meet you.”
“It’s okay,” Taehyung said. By nature he was a man of few words, but they always struck Jimin with warmth.
But something was different this time.
“So, Jungkook-“ Jimin took a sip from his straw, and raised an eyebrow, “what’s with you both?”
“Nothing,” said Taehyung, scoffing.
“Ah,” Jimin took out his phone and laid it on the table, “you know you can’t lie to me Taehyung-ah. I’ve known you for how many years? And Jungkook is my cousin, you know.”
“It’s not that deep,” Taehyung said, somewhat annoyed the conversation was headed in this direction. Because Taehyung himself was confused.
Something odd struck Jimin's eyes, “What do you mean?”
“Nothing to bother about,” Taehyung said, beautiful brown eyes devoid of emotion, “we just have sex, is all. He’s nothing.”
“Taehyung!” Jimin shouted, cutting off the call- he hadn’t ever expected Taehyung to say something like that. His heart sunk. “You really have become different, huh?”
“It’s okay, Jimin hyung,” Jungkook tried to speak up from the other side of the phone, but was met with silence.
It’s okay. Jungkook had expected it anyway.
But it didn’t make it hurt any less.
