"News has been spreading across the city with regards to the most influential family, the Patio family." The television in Ben Everglade's penthouse blasted with nothing but the news of the city regarding the Patio family the next day, "Ever since the death of the family's head, Margaux Patio, questions arose on who'll be the next head of the family. Just yesterday, sources confirmed one of Margaux Patio's grandchildren, Atty. Deborah Patio, as the new head of the Patio family. Deborah is the only lawyer of the Patio family, the eldest daughter of David Patio, Margaux and Peter Sr.'s eldest son, and is set to marry the richest bachelor in the city and CEO of Everglade Telc, Ben Everglade."
"Ugh!" Deborah groaned in frustration as Ben noticed it and turned off the television in the living room.
"Oops! My bad." Ben chuckled as he made his way to the kitchen, where Deborah washed their dishes. After the chaos of yesterday's events, Ben decided to take Deborah on a date night in his penthouse to at least ease the tension in Deborah's head, "Are you okay?" He asked as he hugged Deborah from behind.
"No." Deborah replied, "But the date made me a little better."
"Good." He smiled, "I'm sorry if I told you about the chaos yesterday. I should've not let you-"
"It's okay, babe." Deborah smiled at her fiance, "It's my responsibility to know anyway." She sighed, "I'll fix the family as soon as possible and monitor investigation on grandma's death-"
"Or you can just give it all up." Ben shrugged, "Just say that you and I are getting married and have a family. You can just give it to Uncle David or Diana..." He trailed off, "Or Angel."
"Angel?"
"I trust her more than Owen, honestly." He replied as Deborah laughed.
"Angel's not a Patio."
"She'll be married to one anyway." He smiled.
Deborah sighed, "I can't say no to grandma, you know that." She replied, "It's a big responsibility but it's what she would've wanted. Besides, I have Peter and you to help me."
"Well, whatever your decision is, I'll support you from the sidelines, future Mrs. Everglade." Ben replied as Deborah turned to face him and connected her lips to his, eventually making-out leading to Ben's room where they made love that night.
