Meeting someone new

nick and Charlie are sat next to each other in class and become Great friends, then more. Charlie isn't so open and honest with nick and that gets him into trouble.

I'm also not a medical professional and tried researching as much as I could about these conditions

Charlies Pov:
I wake up to my alarm going off, I roll over and grone, turning it off and checking my phone. A text from Ben.

[BEN] 7am
Meet me in the library before school.

[Charlie] 7:25am
Sorry, I just woke up. Okay, see you then :)

[Ben] 7:26
Whatever don't be late.

I sigh and roll out of bed, to go brush my teeth, then getting changed from my loungewear to my school uniform. I then take the pen looking thing from my side table and jab it into my belly. "owwww" I stop at my mirror to check my hair. It's getting a tad long for my liking, but I shrug it off and go downstairs. Where tori is in the kitchen, drinking a diet lemonade.

Tori
"Goodmorning charlie."

Me
"Goodmorning, do you think I should cut my hair?" I say as I begin to pack my lunch

Tori
"I don't know, it's not my head."

Me
"Thanks," I say sarcastically, rolling my eyes

Tori
"Ready to go? We're gonna be late."

We grab our things and I head for the door.

Tori
"WAIT!" she says in a quiet shout.

Me
"Jesus Tori, what is it?" I say turning around to face her

Tori hands me my black little bag that has everything I need to test my in bloodsugar levels and has my medicine in it. You see, my body doesn't produce enough insulin, so I have to take insulin injections and check my blood sugar regularly.

I gron and take the bag and walk out the door

"Thanks." I hate being so broken....

Nick's pov
I wake up to my guide/service dog Nellie licking my hand. She is an adorable brown and white border collie.

"Okay, okay I'm up!" I chuckle alittle

I hear a light knock on the door and it opening a bit.

Sarah
"Nickie dear, it's time to get up for school."

Nick
"I'm up mum. I'll get ready."

Sarah
"Would you like me to get Nellie ready, or would you like to do that yourself?"

Nick
"Yes, please. Thank you."

Sarah
"Alrighty then, come on love let's go get you dressed for school." She pats her leg, signaling Nellie to follow her.

Nellie barks and follows Sarah.

I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and fix my hair. I grab my uniform from the closet and get dressed. I walk towards my door and grab my cane from beside the doorway and head downstairs to eat a bit of breakfast.

Sarah
"Alright, dear, ready to head out?"

Nick
"Yep." I say with a smile, I grab the pull handle from Nellie's vest, and we load up into the car. We arrive a bit late so that everyone is already seated in class and I can maneuver around the halls a bit easier.
