Chapter 5

Chaewon POV:

Right now, we were in a bus on our way to their friends house. It took like half an hour when Eunchae squealed:

"This is our stop!! I'm super excited to see Garam again!!" She took my hand and went to the door and we stood there, waiting to get to the stop.

Garam.

I've already heard that name before.

But where...?

"You okay, Chae?" Sakura suddenly asked.

"Of course! I just thought of something, don't worry about me, Kkura" I assured her I'm okay.

Even though....

Garam-

"We're here!" Eunchae shouted that everyone gave her a nasty look. She didn't care. She jumped out of the bus and we followed her.

We went down the street while Eunchae told me more and more about Garam.

Suddenly, Eunchae and Sakura turned left, so I just followed. There I saw it.

It was a 2 story house, light blue walls and a balcony on the right side.

"Are you ready to meet our friend?!" Eunchae asked while skipping to the house.

"I'm quite nervous" I answered honestly.

"Don't worry! Garam is sweet! You'll believe me once you get to know her" Eunchae smiled, so did I.

Sakura knocked on the door right when we got to the front. We waited for a while, eventually someone answered.

"Oh, hello girls! I'm sorry, Garam isn't home yet, she has school right now. I believe she's gonna be home in like 10 minutes. Wanna come in?" I assumed it was Garam's mom.

"Sure!" Eunchae answered and entered the house.

"Chaewon?" Suddenly Garam's mom said. I was so confused.

"I'm sorry, how do you know my name?"

"I never thought I'd see you again" she then continued.

"Have we seen each other?"

"Oh, right! I'm your mom's sister. I haven't seen you since you were like seven. Your mom and I have a bad relationship at the moment. It wasn't possible for me to see you again"

I was SO confused. I didn't know how to react, what to do. I just stood there as a statue until Sakura grabbed my hand and we went inside.

We sat next to Eunchae on the sofa when Sakura asked me:

"What just happened?"

"I don't know..."

I don't remember that woman, but I understood that. I was seven and I couldn't remember everything from that time. Except. How did my aunt still remember me?

"Are you sure you wanna stay here?" Kkura asked.

"I'm okay, don't worry. I still wanna meet Garam though"

"If you wanna leave, just say" She then added and I nodded as an agreement.

Then, we all talked while waiting for Garam to show up from school. As Garam's mom said, she arrived after 10 minutes.

"I'm home" We all looked up and saw her.

So she was suppose to be my cousin?

"You've got special guests!" My aunt exclaimed.

Garam then looked at us. She had this neutral face before, but right when she saw us, she smiled a little.

"Hey" she said. Eunchae then ran towards her and hugged her.

"Hi Garam! Long time no see!" After pulling from the hug, she asked: "Why weren't you answering us in our group chat?"

"School" Garam simply said. "Hey, Sakura!" Then her and Kkura gave each other a high five.

"Hey!" Kkura smiled at her. Her smile, I swear to God...

It's addicting...

"Ehm" I snapped out of my thoughts as Garam was speaking.

"And you are..?"

"This is Chaewon. Your mom told us earlier that you are cousins" Garam gave us a confusing look but Sakura still continued: "We didn't know either. Me & Eunchae wanted her to meet our other friend, you"

I only nodded, not knowing what to say.

Garam then took few steps to me. "So you're my family, huh?" She then opened her arms. "Hi, Chaewon"

Then we both hugged.

I'm glad for her reaction. Honestly, I was expecting her to go crazy, since we haven't seen each other. Or did we? Maybe when we were little? If we did or not, I just don't remember it at all.

Then we all sat down, talked, ate popcorn & other stuff teenagers do.

When we were laughing after Eunchae stuffed her mouth with popcorn, when Garam suddenly said:

"Oh crap!" We all looked at her. "Look, I'm so sorry but I have to study for my exams. It was nice hanging out with you though"

"Same here!"

"Yeah!"

"It was nice meeting you, Garam"

Then we said our goodbyes and left the house.

Eunchae had to get out of the bus, so it would be closer to her house so me and Kkura were there alone (If we don't count the strangers).

"Did you like her?" Sakura then asked.

"Of course! She was so nice! I'm SO glad she's my cousin!" I said immediately to which she giggled.

"I'm happy that you are" I smiled at that comment.

We then talked about tomorrow and in no time we had to get off.

"I'm going that way" Kkura said, pointing behind her.

"Well then, see you Kkura" I hugged her and ran the way to my house.
