It's Always something

POV: Toni
Location: basketball game

I was sitting down waiting for my number to be called for the starting five

Once I heard my name I went up and did my signature handshake and joined my team in a circle

"Y'all already know how important this game is make them shots as much as you can, I don't care if we have 20 minutes left play like we got 10 seconds left on that clock, now let's go game on three" my coach Parker said while holding her hand up

"Game" I yelled with everybody and moved to
The floor while getting in position

When I saw the ball being shot up i leaped up and knocked it to my team

My teammate Jordan got the ball and ran down the court getting an easy layup

"Yea jordan" I told him when he came by me and he started laughing

Between me and him I feel like we the best players on my team

The other team was definitely catching up to us and we keep getting tied

Their coach called a time out so we walked over to the Side waiting for the game to get started again

When we could resumed my teammate got corned and spotted me quickly passing me the ball

I ran to our side and shot the ball up getting pushed and I fell still while making it in

"Toni you good" one of my teammates asked me and I said yes

My side hurt but he didn't do any major damage

They helped me up and I saw the refs reviewing the video before calling a foul on him

They took him out the game and we resumed playing

This whole game they been playing dirty and it's really starting to get on my nerves

I got passed the ball again and one of them tried to take it from me so we was basically playing tug of war with the ball and he elbowed me making me drop the ball

I didn't hear a whistle and I started getting mad

"Bro that was a foul he elbowed me" I yelled to the ref and he ignored me walking away and I followed him

"Bro call it" I yelled to him again and my teammates ran up grabbing me making me suck my teeth

"Here drink some and calm down" one of the trainers said to me while handing me my bottle and I just laid back in the chair while watching them play

"Pull him out ,you back in" my coach said while pulling one of my teammates out seeing him getting out of breath

I put my bottle down and went back on the floor seeing the boy that pushed me earlier coming on the floor too

I let a breath out and got ready to just get this game over with

I already got 20 points so far I just been shooting buckets

We got 5 minutes left and they started catching back up to us

So my plan was to just start getting more threes

I passed the ball to my teammate and he passed it back and I leaped up to short and the same boy form earlier knocked into me making me fall on my ankle

I fell down screaming in pain it hurt so bad I was about to cry

"Toni just breath-go get help" Jordan yelled at my other teammates and I just laid down while holding my foot

They ejected the boy and my coach's and medical came over to me

"Do you think you can walk at all" the doctor asked me and i immediately shook my head

Mane Mari definitely gonna clown me when he see me crying

I helped lift me up and they carried me over to the bench

"They're about to bring the stretcher "my coach told me and I just zoned out

I just hurt my foot if I'm not going to be able to play for the next game I'm going to be so mad

When I saw the stranger come into view they stood me hip and put me on it and everybody stood up clapping for me

When we got rolled out I saw my mom and she gave me a hug

"They can't treat you here so we going straight to the hospital " she told me and I just nodded

First a fight and now this I can't catch a break

It's only two more chapters left I just want to start by saying thanks to everybody who read my books me showed me support I'm forever grateful

This however won't be the last book I write so stay tuned and on the look out for my next books
